(theme plays; audience applause) We're back with more of On A Roll. Kevin Kolsen is $84,700 to the good so far. You've already won $70,000 at Big 6. Let's see if you can get lucky at Lucky 7. Wally, please set us up. (FF reveal sfx) Thanks, Wally. Kevin, here's how Lucky 7 works. Wally will give you a certain number of chances to roll any sum of 7 on the dice. But before Wally sets the timer, we need to find out what is at stake. All you have to do is pick a letter in the word "lucky". For reaching Level 4, those lucky letters hide different amounts of cash of up to $250,000. (audience cheers)So, which letter would you like?

Wally, did you stuff a quarter mill in Y? (cha-ching) (audience cheers)No -- but $75,000 -- a little more than what you won in Big 6. That's nice. (alarm goes off) So, with 75 large at stake, considering the other amounts in the other amounts, Wally is setting the shutdown timer *for*... (ding) ...four rolls. Each time a roll of the dice is more or less than 7, you win the sum in hundreds of dollars. Doubles are still worthless *and* cause an instant shutdown of the game. So with that, let's get back on a roll for $75,000. (audience cheers as...) (Kevin rolls)Starting with a 4 and a 5. (ding) That puts $900 more in your coffers. We want $75,000. Actually -- you want $75,000, Kevin. (audience cheers as...) (Kevin rolls) (buzz; NYSI89 losing horns; audience groans)Annnnd -- that'll conclude matters, unfortunately. (FF reveal sfx) (scattered laughter from crowd) Oh -- great -- Wally's saying "fiddlesticks" in Pig Latin. Well, Kevin, what ye?

(scattered laughter from crowd) Better to say that than some other F word. You did pick up another $900. We add that to your prior winning for a grand total of -- how much, Wally? (FF reveal sfx) (audience cheers)$85,600. And there's a chance to win more. We'll play a new game -- after this. (theme plays; audience cheers)

Greetings, all. Sorry for the slight delay on this end. Professional responsibility took precedent.
So, to make up for lost time, let's bypass qualifying. Who wants to play?
Next NGCer to respond who has not opposed Kevin along the champ's current path toward a possible $1,000,000 gets to play. We want to spread the wealth, ya see.

And, full disclosure, three members of my family, at different points in time, have called Columbus, Mississippi home. I've never lived there -- but visited there many times. Nice community. Kevin and Bryan, good luck as we start the competition with this name game. (FF reveal sfx)And it's a nine-letter correct answer for this question. Who gets on a roll -- after midnight here on CBS? (ding)
(Bryan and Kevin, please PM me your buzz code from 1-100 and your answer.)

** Kevin passes ** (Bryan buzzes in) Bryan? Bryan: Tomlinson (dings; audience cheers)Taylor Tomlinson, the star of "After Midnight", seen right after "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" here on CBS -- (points to crew) Crew: (in unison) AND STREAMING ON PARAMOUNT+! (audience laughs)Well done, peeps. Bryan, please step into the box. Before Candice hands you the dice, Shelly needs to ready a new game board. (FF reveal sfx; Shelly poses by game board) And there it is. One-word clues at the top and in the middle -- a two-word clue at the bottom row. (Candice hands Bryan dice) Now that we have the board ready, Bryan, you -- are on a roll. (audience cheers as...) (Bryan rolls)And you start with a big roll. You may take any 6 and 4 -- or you may play the sum and take any 10.

(Shelly touches screen)It's an G. So, Kevin, you may guess the top clue if you'd like -- or roll the dice for the first time in the game.

Am I allowed to take just the 2 on top?

|
|
Post by dougmorrisontheair on Mar 4, 2024 20:00:59 GMT -5
You may take the 2 from one particular row and the 5 from a different row, if you'd like. Bryan split an earlier move. So if your opponent can do it, you can as well.
|
|
|
Post by koopakid17 on Mar 4, 2024 20:14:51 GMT -5
I'll take the 2 on the top and the 5 in the middle.

|
Post by dougmorrisontheair on Mar 5, 2024 8:21:53 GMT -5
(Shelly touches screen)There's a W from the top row... (Shelly touches screen)...and an A from the middle row. With the split move, you may guess the top row or the middle row, Kevin. A miss or a guess means we play another name game since we're out of rolls for the the round.
