At long last, I am ready to present our next installment of Syndicated $ale.
Champion George Cluster will be going for his 5th win today.
And starting with this episode, we will be playing the Winner's Big Money Board bonus game for a cash bonus prize.
If George plays it, he will try for $15,000 in cash. If one of his two challengers plays it, they will play it for $5,000 in cash.
I will explain more about how that new end game will work later on, right now however, George needs two new challengers.

George, welcome back to you! Over $50,000 in cash and prizes already over four days. We'll see if he is able to add to those winnings, but here to try to thwart that attempt are two worthy challengers, say hello to Jack Thompson, and returning to challenge again Nels Snesrud! We are very pleased to welcome you all here to the game. As always, we'll start each of you off with $20. During each segment of our game, I will be asking you a series of questions. Correct answers will add five dollars to your score, an incorrect answer will deduct five dollars, so play carefully. As it's been a while since I have updated this, I will for this first set of five questions set the deadline for 3 days instead of the usual 2 days. So players, after I post the first five questions, I will request that all three of you send to me, via a private message, your buzz code for each question as well as your answer to each question. Buzz codes are always higher than 0 but lower than 101. A reminder, if you do not know an answer, simply say "PASS" to that question. 1 - What is the name of the Nickelodeon animated series featuring characters such as Squidward, Patrick, Gary, Plankton and Mr. Krabbs? Nels - Spongebob Squarepants Correct and the first five dollars of the day are yours... 2 - What is the name of the Sesame Street grouch who shares his name with the name of the Academy Award? George - Oscar And the champion scores his first 5 of the day, tied for the lead with Nels at 25. 3 - What situation comedy/drama series had the opening theme song called "Suicide is Painless"? Jack - M*A*S*H... Correct, one of my all time favorites, and now a three way tie at 25! 4 - Periods, commas and exclamation points are three examples of what kind of marks? Jack - Punctuation Correct and Jack crosses the 30 dollar threshold 5 - What resource book might one use to look up how to spell a word or a word's definition? Jack - Dictionary And three in a row now for the challenger, Jack to 35! (instant bargain chimes) And that sound means it's time for an Instant Bargain. But before we get to that... Another great source of finding out definitions of words is to tune into a brand new revival of a Tom Kennedy classic game show "WordPlay" hosted by our very good friend Bryan Law. And as an added bonus, you will see yours truly serving on the panel on the first episode! Now back to the business at hand. The player in the lead can always buy, or now, outright WIN bargain merchandise. Jack, you are out to a $15 lead early on, so you could possibly buy or outright win...this... From Lorex comes this home security package, featuring a 4K, 8 channel, 2TB wired NVR security system, complete with 4 smart security cameras. You will sleep better whether you are at home or away knowing your home is protected. And this security package is normally priced at $700… but can be yours today for only $5 or possibly for free, on $ale of the Century! Jack, we have a new way we do instant bargains on this version of our show. This board has four different outcomes hidden, one under each letter in the word SALE. One says "No Sale" If you select that, you will remain at $35 and have no security system. Two say "SOLD". If you select either of them, you will lose $5 but win the security system. One says "GIVEAWAY", if you select that, you will win the security system and remain at $35. Lastly, behind one of the two "SOLD" cards lurks a "SALE SURPRISE" card. If you pick that, in addition to buying the security system for just $5, you will also win some bonus cash as well! I hope you get the outcome you want Jack. Please select S, A, L or E.

It's a good thing ELSA from Frozen isn't playing, we'd be here all day waiting for her to choose a letter from her name! Under the A we have... The GIVEAWAY! (Fame Game fanfare) Jack, that security system is yours, no matter how you finish in today's match. And getting that home security system for free was quite a steal, pun intended! Jack remains at $35, Nels and George at $25, and now three more questions players for $5 each. 1 - According to the old adage, the early bird catches the…what? 2 - The man who assassinated President Abrham Lincoln was John Wilkes… 3 - What fictional super hero is the defender of Gotham City? Buzz codes and answers are due in my in box no later than 2:00pm EST on Tuesday, January 23rd. Remember if you do not know an answer, simply say PASS.

According to the old adage, the early bird catches the…what? Nels - Worm Right and Nels now goes to $30. The man who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln was John Wilkes… George - Booth Right and George is now at the $30 mark. What fictional super hero is the defender of Gotham City? George - Batman. Holy correct answer! And George is now tied for the lead at $35! (DING DONG) And now it's time for our first FAME GAME, and we've made some exciting changes to it starting today. Players, as you know, you're playing not for a dollar amount, rather, to earn a pick from our Fame Game board. In order to gain control of that board however, you must ring in first with a correct answer to a puzzle. This first puzzle we're looking for a famous PERSON, and this is indeed a proper name. There are a total of 13 letters in this puzzle, 3 words. Players, I will ask you at this time to message me privately with TWO things: First - how FEW letters you believe you will need revealed in order to correctly solve the puzzle Second - a buzz code higher than 0 but lower than 101, in the event that two or more of you should make the same exact bid The player with the LOWEST bid will get first crack at solving the puzzle, followed by the player with the NEXT lowest bid, followed by the player with the HIGHEST bid. If two or more bids are the same and the first player gives an incorrect guess, passes, or misses the deadline, we will then reveal one more letter for the next player in line. If the first two players should miss the puzzle, pass, or miss the deadline, the last remaining player will see all but one letter revealed in the puzzle. Here now IS that puzzle players: Again, we are looking for a PERSON, your bids and buzz codes are due in my in box no later than 6:00pm EST on Wednesday, January 24th.

That is indeed correct! The randomizer was very kind that time, and all of these letters are chosen at random by the computer. Bidding skills, puzzle solving skills and some luck all factor in. Time for more of the luck and intuition part of the Fame Game for you Jack, as you've earned the right to make a pick from the Fame Game board. And starting today we've made a few tweaks to our Fame Game board. As always, 9 numbers, but this time we start with 4 money cards up there already. One is a $5, THREE right now are $10 money cards. Later on when we play our 2nd fame game, one of them will be replaced with a $15 money card, and then for our last Fame Game a $25 money card. Three have prizes, one has a Fame Game Jackpot space which is worth $500 in cash today if any of our players hit it, and it increases by $100 per show until won. And one space is a BONUS Second Chance. If you select that and win the match, that will give you an added advantage when you play our new Winner's Big Money Board end game. So lots of good stuff up there, especially those coveted money cards. Jack, please select a number.

Post by billmcdee on Jan 26, 2024 3:02:48 GMT -5
Lucky 7 is yours. Frank Caliendo: (as Jay Stewart) And behind the number seven we have... FIVE-HUNDRED DOLLARS! (win fanfare) And just like that our first ever Fame Game Jackpot has been hit for $500. Cold hard cash is yours Jack, no matter how you finish in the game. We'll have the Fame Game Jackpot be worth $500 again on our next show, and later on, one of the $10 money cards will be replaced with a $15 money card instead. Another good, tight match underway here. Jack at $35, champion George at $35 and Nels just one question behind at $30. We have LOTS more game to play, and we'll have more questions, more answers, more bargains, and NO whammies, right after these words of interest!
