Tony:  Thank you, Jim.  Good morning, folks...  and welcome to the return of Gambit.  Television's game of skill, fate, and fortune.  The show where a 21 or blackjack could lead to a cavalcade of cash and prizes... including the top cash prize $1 million.

And I would like to say a very special thanks to everyone who had sent emails, tweets and reposts for bringing our show back.  We'll do our very best to make this series one of many shows to watch for months to come.

We're not done just yet... we have also brought a familiar face back to our show.  You may know her from shows like "Kids, Incorporated", "Party of Five", and "9-1-1".  Please welcome her back to Gambit... the original card diva herself... Ms. Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Jennifer:  Hi, everyone... I'm back.  It's great to be back on the scene.  And especially you for making this show possible.  And now we're back on CBS, let's meet our two contenders.

Well, I guess my job title would be "house and cat sitter", but like you mentioned, I can say that I do have a large baseball cap and sports jersey collection. The most jerseys and caps I have are probably of the Braves and second is the Indiana Pacers.  And we have four cats.  Their names are Yammer, Mr. Binks, Mr. T and George.

Welcome back to Gambit.  Now that Sam and Nels are all set, please allow me to explain the rules.

The object of the game is to get closer to 21 without going over. Each correct answer is $100 plus the option of either keeping the card or passing it to your opponent. Let's take a look at the big money board underneath my podium.

[CLANG]


The first player who has a combination of at least 21 wins the 21 bonus pot of $2,500.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]


But whoever gets an Ace and either a 10 or face card wins the Blackjack Bonus of $10,000!

[LOUD CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]


During the commercial break, the lab rats at RANDOM.ORG have given our card dealer Jennifer a deck of 54 super sized playing cards that were shuffled, cut, and sealed. J.Love will now break the seal and show our players and those of you watching at home the first card in round 1. Jenny...?

Jennifer:  Our first card in round 1 is an 8.

Tony:  Tony: Each correct answer is $100 and the player closer to 21 scores an additional $500. Here comes the first question...

Welcome back to Gambit, everybody.  At the end of round 1, Nels had won the first round and a cash total of $600 while Sam has $200.

Since nobody have won either of the big payoffs, we're going to add more to each pot.
