I'm back with The All-New Tic Tac Dough and raring to go! If any of you have seen me host the show, you know how it works: I go by the 1990 motif and with a huge dash of cash and a big jackpot mixed in! Trivia categories we all know and love, each episode will have at most three games in a match and a bonus round. Since Tony is doing such a good job with syndicated Tic Tac, I've decided to adopt the 1990 setup to differentiate us and go with two special categories per match. However, that definitely doesn't mean games will be less exciting!
So if two people want to play, just post and give me your full names and we'll go off and running later today!

It which can grow and grow and grow since the Dragon is very, very greedy. But if our contestants are smart enough, daring enough, and lucky enough, they'll win hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash! *audience oooohs and applauds* Rich, who are our first contestants on The All-New Tic Tac Dough?
*90 TTD intro cue*

I am 56 years young but almost 57, I live near historic Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania with my wife of almost 33 years and our 24 year old son.
I work full time as an office clerk and order entry clerk for a family owned business in town that sells equipment for first responders.
In my spare time I enjoy vintage game shows, board games, card games, vintage TV and watching US History documentaries.

Well, hope something exciting happens to you in the future. Good luck to both of you and lets play Tic Tac Dough! *applause and Sam goes back to his podium* Now here's how we play Tic Tac Dough: On the board here we have nine categories:
1. Sex Symbols 2. Play or Pass 3. The 2010s 4. World Capitals 5. Baseball 6. Secret Category 7. Action Movies 8. Physics 9. U.S. History
You win the game by placing three Xs or three Os in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Each outside box is worth $500 and the center box is worth double that: $1,000. Every time you place an X or O, that adds money to the pot and the player that gets Tic Tac Dough first wins the game and the pot. The red categories are special categories that will involve both of you and I'll explain how those work after they're selected. We play games in matches here in The All-New Tic Tac Dough: it takes two games to win a match, and the player that wins the match goes on to our bonus game to Beat The Dragon. And it's a really high-stakes bonus round. If you're daring enough and lucky enough, you could win the Dragon's Jsckpot which always starts at: *DING* $100,000*audience cheers* *ROOOOOAR*And that... was the Dragon. He's the greedy type. But he does love to hoard money, so there will be opportunities during your match to grow the Dragon's Jackpot so you can win even more cash! *cheers and applause* Now a final note: each player will have a turn at picking a category, then we shuffle them around just to keep things interesting. And take note: a red category will never appear in the center box. So with all that said: lets play Tic Tac Dough! Bill, since you're the X player, you get to go first. Choose your category.

For the center box. It's a two-part question, so you get a little extra time since it's a bit harder.
Since professional baseball started in the United States and Canada, it took many years for professional baseball players to come from Asian countries. First: I want you to name the first Japanese-born player to play in Major League Baseball. Second: I want you to name the first Korean-born player to play in MLB.
Here's your extra time:

Oh boy, total guess here, Ichiro the first Japanese player, and Shohei Ohtani the first Korean player.

I think Ohtani's also Japanese. The answers were Masanori Murakami and Chan-ho Park.
Break for you, Matt, as now you get to select.

Sex Symbols it is. Here's the question.
This former star of Grey's Anatomy, whom many fans nicknamed "McDreamy" after his character, is also a pro-am race car driver and was named People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2023. Name him.

US History please.

U.S. History it is. Here's the question:
The U.S. carved out the Oregon Territory in 1846, the land which contained the future states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and parts of Montana and Wyoming. This was after a long-standing dispute with another nation over control of the territory which was eventually settled with the Oregon Treaty. For the box, with what country was the land disputed?

Here's your question on Action Movies
A 2016 South Korean film, which takes place during a zombie apocalypse, focuses on passengers and their wills to survive on a train car which departed from Seoul to the titular city. This city is the second-largest city by population in the country. For the box, name it.

Well I did poorly on what I thought were my two strongest subjects, so, caution to the wind, I'll go for that center box, The 10's.

A two-parter like before, for $1,000 in the pot and you'll get some extra time. In 2012, two now-common two-word phrases were first introduced. I'll give you the definitions and you name them.
First: a deliberately provocative opinion designed to get a quick and spirited reaction, usually in the context of current news.
Second: a timed game using a small confined area where a player or group of players solve problems, puzzles or riddles which will enable them to exit.
Here's your extra time. *90 TTD think music* What's your answers, Bill?
