Frank Caliendo (as Jay Stewart): So far, champion George Cluster has won cash and prizes totaling.... Thirty-Two Thousand, Two Hundred, Ninety-Eight dollars! televisiontunes.com/Sale_of_the_Century_-_1983.htmlThis week contestants could win... This elegant living room group… A luxurious spa… A sparkling diamond ring… Or a fabulous vacation to Rio… And continue a journey toward a fortune in cash and prizes… Including this Mustang… And FIFTY-THOUSAND DOLLARS IN CASH! In total, over ONE-HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS on… SALE…of the Century! And now, here is your host, Bill McDee! That's me! I'd like to welcome all of you into another episode of $ale of the Century, where we'll have more questions, answers, puzzles, prizes and surprises. And returning for his fourth attempt at the Winner's Board is George Cluster! Welcome back George. George tends to really come on strong during our new head to head Speed Round at the end of every match. He will be playing that again today against one of these two challengers, let's welcome them in now, Jake and Kourtney! I hope all three of our players will win some nice prizes and perhaps some cash along the way as well. Speaking of cash, right now we're going to start each of you off with $20. I will start off by asking you a series of questions. Each question is worth $5. If you ring in first and are correct, you'll add $5 to your total but, if you ring in first and are WRONG, we deduct $5 so for that reason players, when I ask you to message me with your buzz codes and answers, if you're not sure of an answer, you may simply say "PASS". Here comes the first set of questions players...you will have until 6:35am EST on Friday, November 10th to message me in private your buzz codes (higher than 0 but lower than 101) and your answers. And we're off and running! 1 - According to legend, what type of fruit did William Tell place on his son's head to use as archery target practice? 2 - Dell, IBM and Lenovo are all manufacturers of what type of personal item? 3 - If you are about to kiss the Blarney Stone, what country would you be visiting? 4 - What two word name is the name of a two player game also known as table tennis? 5 - What first name is shared by actresses Aniston and Lopez?

1 - According to legend, what type of fruit did William Tell place on his son's head to use as archery target practice? Kourtney - Apple. Right for $5. And when Tell missed, it disproved the old adage about an apple a day keeping the doctor away. 2 - Speaking of apples, Apple, Dell, IBM and Lenovo are all manufacturers of what type of personal item? Jake - Computers. Right and Jake now goes to 25. 3 - If you are about to kiss the Blarney Stone, what country would you be visiting? George - Ireland. Ah yes the Motherland for me, and we now have a three way tie! 4 - What two word name is the name of a two player game also known as table tennis? George - Ping Pong. That's the one and the champion takes over the lead with $30. 5 - What first name is shared by actresses Aniston and Lopez? Jake. Jennifer. Right and Jake now pulls into a tie with George at $30. (instant bargain bells) Either that's the ice cream truck or it's time for an Instant Bargain. The player in the lead has a chance to buy, and now just outright WIN a nice prize. And for the first time in our short history, we have a tie between Jake and George. But fear not, we have a contingency for this. We've made some changes to our game as you've seen over the past few episodes, and here is another one, and a rather nice one I'd say. First, let's hear about this first prize. From Canon comes this EOS Rebel T6i DSLR camera, comes with an adjustable lens that goes from 18 to 55 millimeters, and a carrying case is included. And this camera package is normally priced at $899 but can be yours today for only $5 or possibly for free, on $ale of the Century! Very well. George and Jake, this is our "$ALE" outcome board. Attached to one letter is a card that says "NO SALE" If you choose that, you'll remain at $30 and will not win the camera. Two of the cards say "SOLD". If you pick either of them, you'll spend $5 and win the camera. Hidden behind one of the "SOLD" cards is a "SURPRISE" which means you'll win an added cash prize. And one says "GIVEAWAY" which means you will simply win the prize and remain at $30. Since you are both tied for the lead, EACH of you, that's right, BOTH players will now have a chance to buy and/or just win this camera because each of you will get to select a letter. And each of you may select the same letter if you wish to. George, since you got to $30 first, I'll have you make the first selection. Once you've done so, then Jake will get to select, and remember Jake, you are allowed to select the same letter that George does if you so choose. George, which letter do you want?

The choices are locked in now. And we know at least one of you will be taking that camera home. Let's see what you both selected... No Sale to you Jake, but the camera is sold to you George for $5! George has the camera, you can take many pictures during your trip to Rio, Jake however has the lead for the moment. Back with these questions. Answers and buzz codes need to be PMed to me by Monday, November 13th at 8:45am EST. As always, you can say PASS if you do not know an answer. 1 - What Texas city is home to the NFL's Cowboys? 2 - A mixture of lettuce, tomatos and other vegetables covered in dressing is collectively known as a what? 3 - What suit of playing cards are considered to be a girl's best friend?

1 - What Texas city is home to the NFL's Cowboys? Kourtney - Dallas Big "D" little "a" double "L" a, s is right for $5. 2 - A mixture of lettuce, tomatos and other vegetables covered in dressing is collectively known as a what? George - Salad. Correct, and now a three way tie at $30! 3 - What suit of playing cards are considered to be a girl's best friend? Yes indeed and the champion takes over the lead at $35! (Fame Game doorbell) O that sound means it is time for our first Fame Game. You are not playing for $5 on this question, rather, the right to pick from our Fame Game board. 9 numbers on the board, and one has a $5 money card, one has a $10 money card, and we have other prizes and surprises hidden up there as well. Playing for the right to pick from that board, and here is how we will do that. I will show you a puzzle and give you a category. All 3 of you will then have to message me two numbers, one number will be your bid, as far as how few letters you believe you will need in order to solve the puzzle. The other number will be a buzz code from 1 to 100, in case two or all three of you make the same bid. The category for this first puzzle is FICTIONAL CHARACTER. Two words, 11 letters total. The letters will be filled in at random. Please PM me your bids players, and they can be anywhere from 0 up to 10 in this case, and also remember to pm a buzz code as well. Bids and buzz codes are due in my in box no later than 9:45am EST on Tuesday, November 14th.

Correct! George took a gamble in bidding zero letters and made a really good guess at the puzzle, but didn't work out for him. Worked out for you Kourtney and you get to make a choice from the Fame Game board. 9 numbers, we have a 5 and a 10 dollar money card up there somewhere, as well as other goodies. Select a number please Kourtney.

Number 9 is now yours Kourtney, and Frank Caliendo, what do we have back there? Frank Caliendo (as Jay Stewart): And behind the number 9 we have... A pair of portable T.V.s ! (Fame Game prize music) From Tyler, it's the TTV705 14, able to be used in any room of the house or even away from home! Two of these are now yours, courtesy of $ale of the Century! $488 the value of those Kourtney, yours to keep no matter how you finish in today's match. The score remains 30 for Kourtney, 30 for Jake, 35 for George, three very good and evenly matched players. And we'll be back with more questions, more answers, more surprises, and I can guarantee you, NO whammies, when we return! (outro theme)

(five note intro from commercial) Welcome back into $ale of the Century, thus far today George has won for himself a camera, Kourtney has won for himself a pair of portable TVs, and no matter how they finish in the match, those prizes are theirs to keep. A little later on in the show, one of these three players might have a crack at our IN$TANT CA$H game which is already up to $4,000. We'll see about that later on, right now though we're back with this next set of questions players. Please PM to me your answers and your buzz codes (higher than 0 but lower than 101) no later than Monday, November 20th by 8:15am EST. 1 - What popular casino card game is also known as "21"? Jake - Blackjack Right and you pull into a tie for first. 2 - What is the last name of the current host of Wheel of Fortune? Kourtney - Pat Sajak. In his final season, and we have a 3 way tie again at 35! All three players are now neck and neck...and neck... 3 - What was the name of the "good ship" that Shirley Temple sang about? George - Lollipop Right and the champion forges back into the lead by $5. 4 - According to the old adage, a penny saved is a penny… Kourtney - Earned. And with that you just won another 500 of those pennies, moving into a tie at $40 with George. (instant bargain chimes) Time for another instant bargain and again we have 2 players tied for the lead. George again and this time with Kourtney. One of you, both of you, or neither one of you may end up with this next prize... From Santa Maria comes this outdoor barbecue grill. This grill is made from the most durable material and is great for cookouts and parties. And this prize is normally priced at… $1,695 but can be yours today for only $10 or possibly for free, on $ale of the Century! As before, each letter has a different outcome attached to it. You both may select the same letter if you wish, or you can each select your own, it's up to you. Gentlemen, please make your selection at this time.

We'll knock the $10 off of your score George... Now down to $30 and last place for the moment. I have more questions and since this is a holiday weekend, I will extend the deadline for the three of you to PM me your buzz codes and your answers to Tuesday, November 28th.
