Wally, what did you stuff in K? (cha-ching)Woah! The big one! $150,000. (alarm goes off) That's the good news. The bad news -- as Wally activates the shutdown timer -- you're probably getting just two chances. (ding) Thought so. Now, for each time you don't roll a sum of 7, you win $100 a point. If you roll doubles, no payoff and an instant shutdown. So -- let's avoid doubles and you make more money. Would that you roll a 7. You're back -- on a roll. (audience cheers as...) (Kevin rolls)(loud groans from crowd) Close! (ding) But that's 800 dollars more. Think you'll get a 7 this time, Kevin?

Okay, this is a combination of main game and audience game qualification. The player closest to the right answer to the following question, high or low, gets to play against Kevin. The next closest plays an audience game -- which we'll play super soon. Before the show, while most of the crew hummed a few bars of the theme song to "Lotería Loca", one of our models rolled five Mexican money dice. The numbers 1 through 6 were replaced with, respectively, 10¢, 20¢, 50¢, $1.00, $2.00, and $5.00? What was the combined value of the roll? Please respond in increments of ten centavos (10¢) and make your answer is between fifty centavos (50¢) and twenty-five pesos ($25.00) inclusive.
(Please PM dougmorrisontheair -- that's a me -- your answer in 24 hours from now.)

Well, you'd *think* there'd be a lot of dinero with this. But... ...not this time -- this roll was worth a total of... (ding)...one peso and 50 centavos. Who's the closest? $2.70 nelson21It's Nels. Okay, you get to play in the main game. Please standby. Now, the contestant in our special audience game we'll play shortly is... $13.10 fdriscoll22...Frank Driscoll. We'll play Half and Half in just a moment -- then another main game with Nels and Kevin follows.

Hi Doug, I’m Frank Driscoll. I’m from the SF Bay Area, born and raised. By day, I work customer service at a local supermarket. However by night, I host pub trivia at a local bar and I host an election analysis podcast.

Great to have you hear from Northern California. Here's how we play this Halloween edition of Half and Half. We've taken a vampire bat and split it in half. Actually -- we've taken a *picture* of a vampire bat and split it in half. To try it in real life would be terrifying. (scattered laughter from crowd) One half of the bat is behind one of the odd numbers. The other half is behind one of the even numbers. With just one of the dice, you'll have a maximum of four rolls to uncover both halves of the bat. If you do, you'll win this. ("Starcrossed" plays) Tiffany: It's a trip to New York City. (audience cheers) You and a guest will fly from Los Angeles to New York for a six-night stay at The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue. Enjoy stunning views of the Empire State Building and the city's architectural wonders from this five-star hotel. We're also including a $4000 meal credit compliments of On A Roll. But wait -- there's more. We're also including two front row concert tickets to see -- Madonna! (audience cheers) That's right, you and your companion will get to see Madonna at one of three shows at Madison Square Garden in late January 2024. It's a prize package worth -- $23,380. Oh wow. Great prize package. New York trip and a Madonna concert. All yours if you roll the right odd and even numbers, Frank.
Now, keep in mind, any repeat roll is a wasted roll. You only have four chances to roll the right numbers.
Good luck, Frank. You -- are on a roll.
(Frank, please respond with a roll code from 1 to 97 inclusive. You'll see the result of that roll and, at most, the next three down the list from dice rolls provided by randomizer.org.)

(audience cheers as Frank rolls the Pick a Number cube) Starting with a 1. Is half a bat there? (buzz)No. Okay, three rolls to go. (audience cheers as Frank rolls) Does 4 hide half a bat? (dings; audience applause)Yes. So, two rolls to go. You need to roll a 3 or 5 to go to New York. (audience cheers as Frank rolls) (bursts of cheers) And there's a 3. Question is -- does the 3 hide the other half of the bat? (buzz)No. So, obviously, the other half is hiding behind 5, Frank. Tell ya what I'm going to do. Before you roll one last time, you may stop the game right now -- and cash in half the bat for $2500 -- plus $1000 for each "no" that turned over. That's a total of $4500 I'm offering as a bailout to give up the try at the trip to New York and the Madonna concert tickets. Or -- you may give back that money and try to roll one time to roll that 5. What do you want to do? (audience shout suggestions)

Frank's taking the money. (audience cheers)Frank -- before we cut you the check for four and a half grand -- you do realize we're Vladimir Duthiers types of folks who adhere to the belief your right to know overrides your right to exist. (scattered laughter from crowd) If you rolled again, would you have won the New York trip and the concert tickets? Let's see. (Frank rolls) (audience cheers)That would've been a wasted roll. You bailed out at the right time! Folks, please open up the rest of the board to confirm the other half was behind 5. And there it is. Enjoy your money, Frank, and to all, a happy and safe Halloween from On A Roll. We'll be back with a new main game -- after this. (theme plays; audience cheers)

Great to have you here from Minnesota, Nels. Good luck, Nels and Kevin, as we start this new game with this name game. (FF reveal sfx)And we're starting with a nine-letter famous last name. It's the correct answer -- to this toss-up question. Who got on a roll -- in "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County"? (ding) (Nels and Kevin, please PM me your buzz code from 1-100 and your answer.)

(Nels buzzes in) Nels? Nels: Cavallari (dings; audience cheers) Kristin Cavallari is correct. Very good, Nels. Please step into the box. Four rolls of the dice will be yours after we load in a new game board. (FF reveal sfx; Havana poses by board) And there it is. Three new clues adding up to a new identity of a person, place, or thing. Nels, you've got the dice. You -- are on a roll. (audience cheers as...) (Nels rolls)Starting with a 6 and a 1. Remember, in this game, this means you may take any 6 and 1 off the board -- or play the sum and take any 7.

Mmm -- you may take the 1 and 6 from the top row -- since those are the individual numbers you rolled. But you can't take the 3 and 4. That's another show.

6 and 1 on bottom

(inaudible ruling from judge) Okay, we'll go with the bottom row and... (Havana touches screen)...we start with an S... (Havana touches screen)...and an E. Okay, Nels, now that everything's straightened out, you may guess the bottom row's clue if you'd like or row roll again. Remember, a wrong guess on a clue or the puzzle means no penalty and you're still rolling.

(buzz buzz)No decision in time. So that means the computer randomly decides for Nels. And it takes the 3 and 5 at the bottom for more of that word -- a U and an R. Nels, with that, you may guess the bottom clue or roll again?

2 and 7 bottom line

'Fraid you're confusing this with that other show on the other network. Here, you have to play the 6 and 3 as individual numbers -- or play the sum of 9.

(time passes) (buzz buzz)Okay -- we didn't get new picks in time. So, computer, please make picks. (ding)And the computer took the individually rolled numbers of 3 and 6 from the top row for an A and a W.
Without further root beer plugs -- (scattered laughter from crowd) -- Nels, you may guess the top row's clue or roll again.
