James Greek is our current champion on Gambit. In our last episode, the champion had made a costly mistake by not using the power chip, thus the dealer have beaten his hand. Making his third appearance, he has a total of $98,614 in cash and prizes. Right now, I'm looking for an opponent to play against James. If you want to participate, please let us know and be on standby.

Good morning, everybody... and welcome to Gambit. TV's game of skill, fate, and fortune. The only show where a 21 or blackjack could lead to a dazzling array of cash, prizes, and the top cash prize... $1 million. In our last episode, it was an epic fail in the Beat The Dealer bonus round. The champ is back with a vendetta and see if he could win thousands of dollars... maybe a million. Find out in the next 29 minutes. Right now, let's meet our ultra attractive card dealer. Meet Jennifer Love Hewitt. Oh J.Love...? [WILD CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Jennifer: Hi, everyone. Well... school season is almost over and I'm sure that one of our players will make the grade and play against me in Beat The Dealer. Right now, let's meet our players. [CONTESTANTS' INTRO]Our challenger is an IT technician. From the western part of Kentucky, meet DYLAN DOWNS. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And playing against Dylan is our returning champion. Making his third appearance, he has a total of $98,614 in cash and prizes and is an in-home caregiver. From the eastern lower part of Alabama... meet JAMES GREEK. [MORE CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: Thank you, Jennifer. We'll see you in round 1 after the break. First, let's meet Dylan. Glad to have you here with us. Please tell us about yourself.

Well, you know where I'm from and what I do. In addition to that, I am currently hosting 1/2 hour Price is Right here. It's the first netgame I've hosted in nearly two years and my first one here. I've been active in this type of community since 2009. I am also happily married for a little over a year to my beautiful wife, Juanita. Good luck to my competitor today!

Good luck, James. Before we begin, we'll go directly to a break. And when our show resumes, we'll be playing the first round. You should take a look at our big money board as the 21 bonus pot continues to rise. Find out how much when the first round of Gambit begins right after this commercial time out. Stick around, folks... [CLOSING THEME][CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]*fade to commercial*

*back to studio* Welcome back to Gambit. Now that both players are set, I'll explain briefly about the rules. The object is to get closer to 21 than your opponent (without going over). I'll be giving bot of you a multiple choice question. If you buzz in and answer it correctly, you'll score $100. Be careful... because if your answer is incorrect, your opponent scores 100 by default. The player closer to 21 while your opponent is either beaten or busted scores an additional $500. And whoever wins the best 2 out of 3 rounds will be playing Beat The Dealer for a chance to win up to $1 million. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Let's take a look at the big money board on my podium. [CLANG]Whoever gets a combination of at least 3 cards that add up to 21 wins the Any 21 Jackpot of $7,500. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And whoever gets an Ace and either a 10 or face card wins the Blackjack Bonus of $12,500. [MORE CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]And during the commercial break, the head honchos at Tandem Technologies, a RANDOM.ORG company, have sent our dealer Jennifer a deck of 54 mega sized playing cards that were shuffled, cut, and sealed before the start of the show. Jennifer will now break the seal and show our players the first card as we begin round 1. Jennifer? Jennifer: Good news... a 10 is our first card in round 1. [CHEERS]Tony: Here comes the first question. Dreama, Hilda, or Zelda-- On the ABC series Sabrina the Teenage Witch, what is the name of the brilliant new witch who has arrived at Westbridge High?*You have 24 hours to PM your buzz-code between 1 and 100.

The 10 is now yours, Dylan. If you get the next question right and your next card is an Ace, you'll win the $12,500 Blackjack Bonus. For now, Jennifer won't reveal the next card unless someone answers this next question. Beth, Jo, or Sue-- In the Louisa May Alcott's book "Little Women" which one of these was not a sister?

Jennifer... I hope everything's OK with you. Please reveal James's first card. Jennifer: I'll be OK, Tony. And James... your first card is a 7. Tony: The champion's chance at winning the Blackjack Bonus is now out of play. He still has a chance to win the Any 21 Jackpot of $7,500. A 3 or 4 would be nice for him. Next question... Chris Evert, Hanna Mandlikova, or Steffi Graf-- Who defeated Martina Navratilova to win the 1989 Wimbledon Tournament?

Jennifer... please reveal Dylan's next card. Jennifer: Dylan... your next card is-- *reveals card* --a Queen. [AUDIENCE GROANS, APPLAUSE]Tony: The Blackjack Bonus is out of play. But it will come back in our next round. Dylan now has a total of 20. Before I read the next question, you have a decision... do you want to continue playing the first round or freeze?
Post by wheellover1991 on May 26, 2015 6:52:59 GMT -5
I think I will freeze.
Post by tmann3x on May 26, 2015 8:15:47 GMT -5
[APPLAUSE]And Jennifer will now place the freeze marker on Dylan's 20. James... there are no ties in Gambit. The only thing you'll have to win this round is a 21. You must answer each and every question right in order to stay in the game. If at any given event that your answer is incorrect, Dylan wins the first round of the match and $500. Here comes your next question. Jan Van Eyck, Francois Millet, or Hieronymus Bosch-- Who painted "The Garden of Earthly Delights"?

Hieronymus Bosch is the correct answer. [APPLAUSE, DING]A 3 or 4 is what you're looking for, James. Jennifer, please reveal James's next card. Jennifer: It's a 4! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: You are now a 10 or face card away from winning the Any 21 Jackpot of $7,500. Next question... Axl Rose, Elvis Costello, or Tom Petty-- Who performs “Veronica,” and is the winner of MTV’s Best Male Video Award in 1989?
