I think a great many people would say yes to that.
When it comes to in-laws, spouses tend to be able to tolerate them.
I think it would be a fairly high number, 83. After all, the person isn't marrying the parents.

[DING]83 out of 100 said they would marry someone if they don't like their parents. What do you think, Kourtney... higher or lower?

I am going to say lower because I feel you should be at least be somewhat on the same page if they are going to be together. I am not saying that they have to like everyone but at least respect them.

[DING]If I were a betting man, I would probably say lower as well. We'll soon find out. Bill says 83 and Kourtney says it's lower. The actual number of single people who said they would marry someone if they didn't like their parent is... [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]74. Kourtney is correct... it is lower. Kourtney... you have a King as your base card. Do you want to play on this card or change it?

I am going to Keep it and say lower.

Higher.

Higher than a 5... [BUZZER, AUDIENCE GROANS]No... it's a 2. Bill, you have a free chance to call on your 8. You cannot change the 8 because you didn't win the question.

I'll say higher.

Higher than an 8... [BUZZER, AUDIENCE CONTINUES GROANING]It's a 4. Both players have failed to advance. Bill needs two while Kourtney still needs 4. *grabs card* Time now for our 4th and final question of round 2... Sudden Death. Someone has to win it on the next play of the cards. Kourtney, we asked 100 teenagers: HAVE YOU USED A LANDLINE TELEPHONE IN THE PAST WEEK?How many of them said they had?
Post by pathfinder20 on Oct 21, 2023 22:10:55 GMT -5
With the way technology is, I highly doubt they would know what a landline is let alone use one. I think is going to be a low number. 16.

[DING]16 out of 100 said they had used a landline telephone in the past week. What do you think, Bill... higher or lower?

I imagine it's even lower than that.

I imagine it's even lower than that. Any reason why you think the answer is lower, Bill?

Post by billmcdee on Oct 22, 2023 19:58:11 GMT -5
Well I think the key phrase of the question asked "this week". I think it would be rare for more than 16 to have used a landline phone within a one week time period.

OK then... [DING]This will determine control of the cards. And the actual number of teenagers who said they had used a landline telephone in the past week is... [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE] 28. It's not lower... it is higher. Kourtney, it's decision time. You have a King and must call all of them right. If you pass it to Bill, he must call on both cards right for the match. What's your decision... play or pass?
Post by pathfinder20 on Oct 22, 2023 23:13:30 GMT -5
I am going to pass.

So kind of you I'll try higher again Tony.

Just a reminder, Bill... you must call both cards right in order to regain your championship crown. Make one mistake and we'll play a tie game. And you said higher than an 8... [DING, APPLAUSE]a Queen.

Nikkita and Lola are now placing 3 cards for both players. *grabs card* Our final round means it's time for a one question Sudden Death match. Someone has to win it on this final play of the cards. Bill, we asked 100 women: IF SOMEONE PAYS YOU A COMPLIMENT, DO YOU OWE THEM A COMPLIMENT IN RETURN?How many of them said they do owe them a compliment?
Post by billmcdee on Oct 24, 2023 5:00:20 GMT -5
I believe that would be a relatively low number. Perhaps a word of thanks they would feel obligated to say, but as for offering a compliment in return, not nearly as likely.
I'll say 37.

Post by tmann3x on Oct 24, 2023 12:26:29 GMT -5
[DING]37 out of 100 said they do owe them a compliment. What say you, Kourtney... higher or lower?
Post by pathfinder20 on Oct 24, 2023 14:21:46 GMT -5
I am going to say a bit lower than that. I don’t think it’s necessary to give another compliment but at least a thank you is nice.
Post by tmann3x on Oct 24, 2023 15:57:28 GMT -5
[DING]This will be decided. Bill says 37 and Kourtney says it's lower. The actual number of women who said they owe them a compliment is... [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]34. Kourtney is right... it's a little bit lower. Before you make the call, I'm gonna turn over your base card and Bill's. You have a King while Bill has a 9. Do you want to play on your King or pass it to Bill?
Post by pathfinder20 on Oct 24, 2023 16:20:11 GMT -5
I will play my King.
Post by tmann3x on Oct 26, 2023 0:29:35 GMT -5
With your King, you must call both cards right in order to become our new champion. Make one mistake and Bill will remain as champion.
So... with your King, call it higher or lower.
