So, there are 2 big changes I'm making to the show after the current episode wraps.
First off, I didn't realize that the value of the questions stay constant throughout the match. Therefore, henceforth, questions are worth $5 throughout the game, which actually makes my job with the Instant Bargains much easier
Second, I'm doing away with the Auction game, and I'm replacing it with "The Game on Sale", for lack of a better term, which in itself is a spinoff to Jackpot Trivia's bonus game. I'm still trying to figure out the visuals, so for now...I'll explain the change with text-based graphics:
[ S ] [ A ] [ L ] [ E ]
[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ]
[ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ]
[ 7 ] [ 8 ] [ 9 ]
The letters in the word "Sale" is atop a 9 square board. In each letter is a cash value from $1 to $4. In each of the 9 squares are the words "Single", "Double", and "Triple". There are 5 singles, 3 doubles, and 1 triple. If a triple is selected, it's an automatic win.
The three players are shown 2 mystery boxes that contains a prize or prize package. Each of them are worth a certain amount of money, although one box is more expensive than the other by a small margin (example: One could be $16, the other $20).
The player in last place starts by choosing 2 letters in the word "Sale", for up to $7 on this pick alone. Then, the player goes to the numbers portion and chooses a numbered square, multiplying the money they have by the word in the box.
For example, a player chooses the letters L and S:
[$4] [ A ] [$3] [E]
[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ]
[ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ]
[ 7 ] [ 8 ] [ 9 ]
Making $7. They then choose one of the numbered boxes, let's say number 7:
[$4] [ A ] [$3] [E]
[ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ]
[ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ]
[ TRIPLE ] [ 8 ] [ 9 ]
They get lucky and reveal a Triple. They automatically win $21. In any other case, the player must match the words for the win.
Each player gets 1 chance to match, going in order from the player in last place to first place. If a match isn't made after all 3 players take a turn, a random square is removed from the board.
Once a match is made, or if triple is chosen, and the player wins their cash, they can either buy a mystery box, or they can receive their cash multiplied by $10 and it goes to their assets, not their overall game score.
I hope this all makes sense, expect this change to come within the next $ale game!
