David Barkow is the current Scrabble Sprint champion with $9,575.
Nathan Diniz and George Cluster, you both reached out to me to participate in episode 2.
Immanuel Tims has a standing reservation for episode 3 so far.
Once Nathan and George both check in, we can start this episode.
If I do not hear from one and/or the other by 8pm on Tuesday, September 19th, Immanuel will get to participate in episode 2.
Thank you,
Bill

We'll see if Nathan checks in by the deadline I set.
If not, it will be you vs. Immanuel and the winner of the match will play the Scrabble Sprint against David Barkow.

(drumroll) Champion David Barkow has won $9,575 in cash. Stand by to watch and see if he can make it again to the Bonus Tiles, for a chance at up to $20,000 more, today on Scrabble! (opening theme) A ten letter word, the clue is, people really flip for it! Audience: "SOMERSAULT!" YEAH! It's the crossword game you've played all your life, but never quite like this... And now here is your host, the keeper of the tiles...Bill McDee! That's me! Thank you Frank Caliendo, thank you friends and welcome into another episode of Scrabble, the game you have played all of your life, with a fun twist. Watch and see if you're able to solve our puzzles as fast, if not faster than our studio players do here today. Speaking of fast, our current champion really flew through his first Scrabble Sprint on our last show, he had a tough time to beat and he did that, and then won a nice chunk of bonus cash in our new BONUS TILES end game, which can be worth up to $20,000 each and every day. Back with us with $9,575 is our one day Scrabble Sprint champion David Barkow! David welcome back to you. You're going to stand by while we get a new challenger for you so we will see you later on in the show. Now we have 2 new contestants who will be playing a best two out of three game crossword match for cash, and the right to play the Scrabble Sprint. Please welcome to the show George Cluster and Immanuel Tims! Gentlemen, the object of the game is to be the first to solve three words correctly. Spelling counts just like in regular Scrabble. I will give you clues to these words that may eventually help you to solve them. Word values will be selected at random by our computer and can be anywhere from $125 up to $250, and the third and winning word for either player is worth double. Both players get to keep any cash they pick up for solving words and also for bonus squares as well. If a letter is placed on a blue square and you solve the word at that moment, that will be $500 in bonus money to you, $1,000 if you do so on a pink square. First player to win 3 words wins one game, and the first to win 2 games wins the match and plays against David in the Scrabble Sprint. Right now the Scrabble Sprint is worth $500 but that WILL increase. The winning player's money score for his three words, NOT including bonus square money, will be added to that $500, and then whatever the total is after game one, we will do the same again at the end of game 2, so the Sprint could end up being worth anywhere between $1,500 and $2,500 today. George as you signed up first, you'll get to play first. We will start with a 9 letter word this time, and we are building off of the letter "E" and the opening clue is...oh brother... While in the bedroom, some newlyweds are in it together. Going to get us thrown right off the network with these clues! George you can try to solve it now if you think you may know it. An incorrect solve or an incorrect spelling of a guess forfeits your turn to the other player. If you do not know it however, or if you DO know it and want to gamble to try to get a letter that will land on a blue square for a $500 bonus, you may do so as well. The remaining letters in the word are controlled by the numbered tiles between you, but watch out, as three of those tiles are STOPPERS. Those are letters that do NOT belong in the word. If you select one of those, you lose your turn also. George, you can either select a pair of tiles by calling them out by number or you can try to solve the word right now, what's your pleasure?

Good guess, but not right I'm afraid. I think a gathering in a bedroom with newlyweds...well, the less said the better (Chuckling). Nevertheless an excellent guess, but not the word we needed. Immanuel, as such, control is over to you, you can try to solve this or take a pair of tiles.

No no no!
LOL you still have the "H" to play, or you can solve the word now.
You only get to take 2 tiles if you have none remaining to play.

(back from commercial music) We are back, in the middle of Crossword Game #1. Immanuel scored the first word so George, we'll be going back to the board with you this time. We're building off the letter M, 8 letters in the word and the clue is... By age 14, many boys become one. You can either try to solve the word or select a pair of tiles, what's your pleasure George?

I should point out that the computer randomly determines the value of each word played, and it came up $175 again. Two possible chances at a $500 bonus again too here. George, you have an E and an N to work with, which do you want to try first?
