I have a pricing game for one of you to try.
I don't want to say anything more than that just now, as I want the reveal to be a surprise.
Who would like to try?

Awesome Now you have a chance to win...this... It's a BRAND NEW CAR!!!!! It's the 2023 Honda Civic Sport! And the game we have for you Jack is... ON THE NOSE. This was a retired pricing game involving a physical activity such as shooting a basketball or tossing a football, etc. None of that here. Just pricing and perhaps with a little luck, winning this automobile. First, we'll tell you the first digit: It's a two. Now then, one by one, we're going to give you a certain number of choices for each of the remaining digits in the price of that car. If you get all of the remaining digits correct, you'll have the price ON THE NOSE and win the game instantly, BUT... Even if you do NOT get all 4 digits correct Jack, you could still win if you get at least one of the last 4 digits correct, and I will explain how that works if and when we get to it. For now, let's focus on the 2nd digit in the price of that car... One of those two digits is right. Do you believe it should be the 4 or the 5 Jack?

Well, it's not just a Honda Civic, it's a Civic Sport which to me would mean "a bit more expensive" so I'll go with the 5.

Methinks we have a player here! Is the next digit in the price 3 or 8?

This one's tough, it could be either one, so I'll just go with my gut and say 8.

Now for the 4th and last digits, you will be presented with 3 possible choices, one of which will be right. Is the 4th digit 1, 2, or 7?

Very well and apologies for the delay Jack. Three choices for the last number, 0, 3 or 9. Which do you take Jack?

No worries Bill.
As for the number, oooh, I dunno. If this is a "Greco" setup, it's probably the 3 or the 9, but I'll take the obvious one and go with the zero.

We shall see momentarily. If the price of that automobile is $25,810, you will have the price ON THE NOSE and win it instantly. However, if you have at least one digit right, you will still have a second chance to win, and I'll explain how that works if necessary. Let us reveal the next number, is it a 5? Yes indeed it is! How about the next digit, is it an 8? Oh yes! Now, how about that 1? BEAUTIFUL! Jack, if that last digit is zero, you'll have the price ON THE NOSE and win that car! Show us! (buzzer) Drat! Your suspicion was right about that last number, but Jack, you got 3 of the digits right, so here's what will happen now. Because you did get three of the digits correct, we have hidden the game's logo "ON THE SPOT" behind THREE of these FIVE digits. You will get one pick, you can pick any digit you wish, and if one of the ON THE SPOT logos is behind that number, I'll still give you that car. But, if you're not sure, I'll offer you the option to walk away with $5,000 in cash right now. So do you want to take that loot and scoot, or try to find one of the logos to win that automobile Jack?

Five grand would be nice, but I'm going for it and since Greco got me, let's go with the 3 please.

Going with the 3. Is one of those logos behind #3? (Foghorn & losing horns) No! Where were they hidden? The center 3 spots. Those were coincidentally the ones you got right but rest assured, these are placed by our staff at random before the start of the game. Jack, I hope you had fun, and would like to hear your take on this game.

Dang, I got double Greco'd! lol
Yeah, I liked it. It's much better than some poor old grandma trying to pop a balloon with a dart like they did on Price!
I think there would be a very small win percentage with this though. With the real "On The Nose" you had a 25% chance of being on the nose, but here, that percentage is less since you have three numbers to choose from for the 4th and 5th digits. I got pretty close, but I think more often than not, you'd have contestants with two or three numbers wrong. I'm assuming had I got only one number right, I'd have had only one logo to shoot for which in and of itself is only a 20% chance.
I like the concept, don't get me wrong, but I think it would be just as tough if not tougher to win that the one on TPIR was.
Changes that I would make:
- When you give them the first number, also give them a free logo selection for the end, which opens up the possibility of them having an 80% chance to win with 4 of 5 numbers having a logo, but also the chance at a miraculous 1 in 5 chance to win even if they get all the numbers wrong
- Keep it at a choice between two numbers for all 4 digits which will increase the chances of an "on the nose"
It's a cool idea for that game though Bill, well done. You mistakenly said "On The Spot" earlier -- now there's a game I'd love to see your re-design ideas for.

Thanks for your very good thorough feedback, and yes I have no doubt I said "Spot" instead of "Nose".
The older I get the more senior moments I seem to have.

Don't feel bad, I have senior moments all the time. Just today, I was halfway home from the grocery store when I realized I left my keys on the customer service counter. Luckily they were still there when I went back for them lol.

If I can give some feedback of my own. This is a pretty good revival of an old game, plus the hidden On The Nose logos are kind of reminiscent of the hidden Bullseyes in another game

Yes indeed, that was what I was "aiming" for, no pun intended.
