That they would! I can see you zipping through town just cruising down with those bikes, maybe pick up a chick or two!
*audience laughs, some oohs*
But look, I know that if you buy those bikes it'll drop you to second place. I'll give you a compromise. You can buy the bikes, that'll only put you at a $2 disadvantage, and with you being a great player that shouldn't make you worry, but I'll also throw in $500 for gas or whatever you choose. That's a $6,200 value...all for just a measly $20, could you imagine anything better? What do you say to that, Mike? Going once...going twice...
*audience shouts suggestions*

We have a sale! *cheers* Now, that puts you in second place...but it shouldn't matter that much, since you're in second ironically by $2! Matt still lingers with $50, and Bill leads with $101. I say we stop here for a moment and recuperate, we'll come back in a minute and play some more $ale! We'll be back! *cheers, theme, fade to commercial*

*cheers* We're back! Crew (from offstage): Thank you, back! *scattered laughter* That's theater talk for assembling the cast and crew after taking a break. And well, it works for TV too. We've got a match going: Mike just bought a pair of bikes and is now in second, Bill is in first by a small margin, and Matt's hanging in there. Fellas, I have some more definitions for you guys, here are this round's words: We have Miserly, Dingy, Multitude, Convention, Cite, Ingrained, Steep, Projection, Philosophical, Perspicuous, and Fitful. Again, all of these words may or may not be used. Let's see the first definition: "A large formal assembly". What words fits, fellas? Bill: 55 Matt: 83 Mike: 25 Buzzcode: 24 *Mike buzzes in* Mike!

Yessir! *ding* *Instant cash cue* And at long last, we get to play Instant Cash! The jackpot for the instant cash today is worth... $3,000! *cheers* Or, you can win a Benjamin. A puny $100. Better than nothing. That offer goes to the person in first place, which is Mr. McDee! Now Bill, you have a $17 lead as it stands. Play this game, and you'll only need one correct definition to bring yourself back up to speed. And also, $3,000, or even $100 would be nice to add to your pot, especially considering you have a bunch of cash already. PLUS...it only costs $17 to play, and that'll knock you to an even tie. You would still technically be in first place. So, what do you say Bill? Take a shot at winning $3,000, or no? *audience shouts suggestions*

And now, it can only increase with another round of definitions. Here's the next one now: "Thickly covered with ingrained dirt or soot". Bill: 65 Matt: 88 Mike: 48 Buzzcode: 33 *Mike buzzes in* Mike!

Right again! *ding* We did forget to give Mike his score for that last question, all scores should be correct as they stand. *Fame Game sfx* Oh! Time for our second and final Fame Game! You know the drill, I'll describe a noun, you guys will buzz in and try to guess what I'm describing. Doing so gets you a swing at the ol' Fame Game board which can give you over up to $1,500 in cash and merchandise! Here we go, we're looking for a PERSON. I was an American trumpeter and vocalist. I was among the most influential figures in jazz. My career spanned five decades and several eras in the history of jazz. I received numerous accolades including the Grammy Award for Best Male Vocal Performance for Hello, Dolly! in 1965, as well as a posthumous win for the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1972, and induction into the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2017. I was born and raised in New Orleans. Coming to prominence in the 1920s as an inventive trumpet and cornet player, I was a foundational influence in jazz, shifting the focus of the music from collective improvisation to solo performance. Around 1922, I followed my mentor, Joe "King" Oliver, to Chicago to play in the Creole Jazz Band. I earned a reputation at "cutting contests", and my fame reached band leader Fletcher Henderson. I moved to New York City, where I became a featured and musically influential band soloist and recording artist. By the 1950s, I was a national musical icon, appearing regularly in radio and television broadcasts and on film. Who am I?
