Slowly but surely I am making progress with the rules, my visuals (which will look like a Kindergartner compared to the likes of Tony's and Immanuel's visuals), and a simplified end game.
Two things are set. The first is the crossword round will be a best 2 out of 3 game match. Three words will win one game. If each player wins 1 game, a sudden death Speedword will be played to determine the champ. More rules will follow, but for my game, with any Speedword, if the first player to "buzz in" gets the word wrong, the other player will now win the word by default.
Also any bonus money for pink or blue squares will be out of play during Speedword only.
The Scrabble Sprint will be 4 words, the same 4 played by both the returning champion and the crossword match winner.
The new player will play the round in private via P.M. and establish a score, and the other player must beat that score. More details to follow.
I am doing "beta testing" behind the scenes for a new end game to be played by the Scrabble Sprint winner. The working title is just "Bonus Tiles".
So far I have played it 30 times and had 17 wins and 13 losses. I rather like that it's fairly even.
Will do more testing and rule changes for it as well and will eventually do a beta-test on here so you can all see how the mechanics of that end game will work.
