Hi folks.
Due to the fact that for the umteenth time this summer we have a potential threat of nasty weather, possible tornadoes even, should I suddenly go "off the grid", it will undoubtedly be due to this reason.
I am hoping that as usual, weather.com will be wrong. Anymore it seems, any time there's even the mildest possible chance of thunderstorms, it's always either a "marginal risk" or in today's case, a "likely risk of severe weather today". It goes on to say "Wind and tornadoes are possible, but wind is the greatest threat. Stay aware and be prepared."
In recent weeks, we had a situation with bees getting into our house. We thought, as did one "professional" that they were honeybees. After consulting with one other individual and another professional service, those two parties both confirmed that they were not honeybees, rather, yellow jackets. We had our entire outside sprayed recently and more treatments will be happening to try to prevent further issues.
Between sky high escalating energy prices, insects and sky high payments for having to treat that, the seemingly endless potential for very nasty/destructive weather in these parts anymore, as well as a great many negative associations I have with this time of year, particularly the month of July, I have grown to detest summer 12 trillion times as much as Ebeneezer Scrooge detested Christmas before he underwent a spiritual conversion.
In my own case, no amount of ghostly visitors will ever sway my absolute hatred of the summer.
These storms evidently may affect a great part of the east coast, from Georgia up through New York, with my state of Pennsylvania also with the potential of being in harm's way for the endless number of times. Just makes me sick.
So to any and all who may be in the potential path of this, or any other miserable weather, be it here in the east, or anywhere else in the country or the globe, stay prepared as best you can, and try to stay well and safe.
With frustration and disgust,
Bill
