I will also provide these once I am ready to start episode #8.
MAIN GAME CHANGES:
Insurance Markers have been removed from the regular card decks.
Each deck will now be a standard 52 card deck only during match play.
Insurance Markers may now be won during puzzle toss-ups.
Insurance Markers may no longer be carried over into the next game.
Two additional special decks of cards will be used; one to determine
the value of a toss-up puzzle, the other to determine the value
of the hand being played.
The toss-up puzzle deck will contain 24 cards, 8 each marked
$25, $50 and $75.
Two of the $25 cards will also say "INSURANCE".
The hand value deck will contain 48 cards, 6 each marked
$125, $150, $175, $200, $225 and $250.
I will use random.org to "cut" these two special decks after they have been
thoroughly shuffled.
These special decks will be reshuffled and recut for the start of game 2 of the match.
For the puzzle toss-ups, if the first person who rings in does not give a correct
answer to the puzzle, passes, or if they miss a deadline, the other player will get a chance to answer.
If the other player comes up with the right answer, they will win the value of the puzzle plus
the insurance marker if it is up for grabs.
If the second player also fails to come up with a correct answer, passes, or misses the deadline to answer,
no money or insurance markers will be awarded but
they will still keep initial control of the cards for the hand being played.
GAME THREE (One Hand Sudden Death Round).
This will be played for a flat $500. One word puzzle will be
used, but no dollar value and no insurance marker will be attached to it.
The mini HALF & HALF bonus game which had been played by the winner of game 1 of the match, is being retired.
HIGH CARD TOSS-UPS:
1. If the very first box selected during the first trip to the board is the Ace,
in addition to retaining control of the game, that player will receive a $500 bonus.
2. Now there will be only one Bonus Draw token hidden on the board per game.
If the "Bonus Draw" token is revealed, rather than having
it credited to the player who uncovered it, it will instead go into a bank.
The winner of the match will get to take all of the
"Bonus Draw" tokens that were banked into the Pot Limit game,
and those will be added to any Bonus Draw tokens that the player
starts with during the Pot Limit round.
There will be a new method to determine how many Bonus Draw tokens a player receives for the Pot Limit end game, as outlined below:
Any Insurance Markers won during the front part of the game will no longer
carry over into the Pot Limit round.
Insurance Markers may only be used during
match play.
1a. The initial number of Bonus Draw picks will now be determined by the player.
1b. The player will select one of the four suit cards.
Two will have 2 Bonus Draw tokens and the other two will have 3 Bonus Draw tokens.
1c. These will be added to any Bonus Draw cards that were banked up during
match play.
2a. Previously, each Pot Limit hand had an assigned number of picks.
Now the number of picks per hand will be determined at random by the player.
2b. At the start of each hand, they will select one of the four suits on the board.
One will say "3 Picks", two will say "4 Picks" and 1 will say "5 Picks".
2c. At the start of each hand, these will be reshuffled and hidden behind the
four suit cards. I will be using random.org to determine where they are hidden.
3a. The Acey-Deucey card will now be in play only during the first 3 hands of play.
(a.k.a. Level 1)
3b. For the remaining four hands, the Acey-Deucey card will be replaced with a
"Second Chance" card. If this is uncovered, the player will get to select
another card from the board to establish his/her final split.
As such, the suit cards will no longer be used to try to earn a Second Chance.
3c. If the player is dealt up a losing card with the Second Chance card in play,
they will get a second chance to win their wager by having the next card from their deck
dealt up and onto the split board.
3d. Second Chance cards may NOT be carried over from one hand to the next.
The Second Chance ONLY applies to the current hand being played.
