Staff announcer: Your eye on the island -- TV11. (vamp to opening theme) (camera zooms in on Wally) Tiffany: Tonight, from Harrah's fabulous Rio, someone here in the Samba Theatre will have a chance to win more than $100,000. All you have to do is get... ...on a roll! (opening theme plays; audience cheers) And here come the ladies to help us out for On A Roll's Primetime Spectacular... ...it's Candice......and LisaNow, meet our host, ready to get on a roll, Doug Morris! (audience cheers) Thank you, Tiffany. Hellooooooo, everybody -- and welcome to On A Roll's Primetime Spectacular. We're in Vegas, baby! (audience cheers) It's been four years since I was last here in this great city, so it's nice to be back. (audience cheers) Of course, in my first-ever visit to Vegas, the temperature was 113 degrees when my plane touched down. (scattered woahs) When I arrived three days ago -- 110. So -- not *too* much has changed. (audience laughs) Thank goodness for air conditioning. Also, this much hasn't changed -- dreams to take the house for big money. (audience cheers) And this time, the pit boss can't do anything about it! (audience laughs and applauds) So here's how our primetime spectacular will work. We will play six dice games -- the games you'd normally see as audience games or time-fillers in a regular episode of On A Roll. Each game will be worth up to $25,000 in cash. (audience cheers) After the sixth game, the player with the highest money score rejoins us for a seventh game for more than $100,000 in cash. (audience cheers) Just in case there's a tie for high score after the sixth game, those in the tie play a tie-breaker game -- with the victor going on to play for 100-grand-plus. So -- with that -- who wants to play our first game? (audience cheers)
[First player to respond gets to play the first game, second player the second, etc.]

[NOTES FROM DOUG: So, let's just go ahead and get the show on the road. Shederick, Jack, and Immanuel, I've made notes in my game sheet to have you play in, respectively, the second, third, and fourth games of this episode. When the fourth game is done, we'll look for two more players and proceed from there. Meantime, George's game will start shortly.]
You there -- George -- come on -- up. (audience cheers)George, do we have a great job for you. Before we tell you about it, please tell us about yourself.

Well, I am a singer from Spartanburg, SC. I love to play mahjong for over 10 years, listen to 80s music, and listen to news themes across the USA (which Counterpoint is my favorite news theme). When I am not doing any of those 4 things, I love to do word seeks and watch game shows and game show pilots such as this one.

Us? A pilot? (scattered laughter from crowd) We're just a time-filler. But with the actors' strike, we might be doing more primetime specials -- so you may be onto something, George. As you've wished us luck, let's wish you luck on this job you're about to partake. To the best of my knowledge, I don't think we've played this game on our daytime show. We've played a variation of this on one of my other shows. George, tonight, you get to take on... ...an odd job. Here's how it works. You'll have a maximum of four rolls to roll any odd sum with two dice. If you roll a double or any other even sum, the payoff is $100. But if you roll an even sum, you win the amount attached to that sum. I'll even show you where the big money is. (ding)We attached $5000 to the roll of a 3. Better than that, attached to the 11... (ding)...is our friend, the moneyman. And the moneyman represents the top payoff in this game of $25,000. (audience cheers)The rolls of 5, 7, and 9 have amounts lower than $5000. So, here's how the game works. If you roll an even sum, it's just best to roll again -- because you don't want $100 in this game. If you roll an odd sum, you'll have the option of stopping the game and taking the cash award attached to that sum -- or rolling again. Thing is we can't be here all night. You only have four rolls in this game. So stop when you think the stopping the good. Any questions?
(George, if no questions, please respond with a roll code from 1 to 97 inclusive. You'll see the results of that roll plus as many as the next three rolls "down the list" of rolls from randomizer.org.)

[NOTES FROM DOUG: Okay, we've got Nels down for Game 5. If anyone wants in for Game 6, "speak now for forever hold your peace". We're down to just that one opening.
George, as for you, dice are rolled with randomizer.org. So please choose a number from 1-97 for your starting point.]

(audience cheers as...) (George rolls)Starting with a sum of 7. What's attached to the number 7 up there? (ding) $500. Now, you may stop now and keep the $500 or roll again. You've got three rolls to go -- and remember, the more money you win here, the more likely you'll be back for the final game of the night for more than $100,000 cash. So stop here $500 to the good -- or give the money back and stay on a roll? (audience shout suggestions)

[NOTES FROM DOUG: Thanks, Kourtney. We'll see you in Game 6. With that, all slots are filled. Perhaps we'll do another episode of this type soon.]
Okay, please roll again. (audience cheers as...) (George rolls)(buzz) (audience groans) Okay, don't be thrown off too much by the buzzer. If we played this in the daytime, doubles and even sums would be worthless. But on this primetime special, we make this worth $100 to make sure we start someone on the scoreboard. And, George, since you can't do worse than $100, you might as well roll again with two rolls to go. (audience cheers as...) (George rolls)Yo-leven! That's a winner! (dings; win theme plays; audience cheers) How sweet that is? $500 down to $100 -- and then up to the max -- $25,000. How do you feel?

As well you should. $25,000 is the high score of the night. That means everyone else who plays can't do better than 25 large. They can equal it -- but not outscore $25,000. In case we do have a tie for high money score, those involved in the tie play a tie-breaker. The winner there goes on to play for more than $100,000 in the last game of the night. George, since you're the high scorer, both of our dice girls will walk you to the most comfortable chair here in the Samba Theater. Meantime, we'll take a break. When we come back, Wally's going to help us with a card game -- when On A Roll's primetime spectacular continues. (theme plays; audience cheers)

(theme plays; audience cheers) Welcome back to On A Roll's primetime spectacular from Harrah's fabulous Rio in Las Vegas. Before we start our next game, let's say hello to Wally. (FF reveal sfx) Wally, what's on your mind on this special? (FF reveal sfx) We're -- definitely not in Television City anymore. We'll be presenting new episodes of On A Roll this fall from our new home in Glendale, California. Watch for that soon. Meantime, let's welcome our next audience game player -- selected during the break -- djshadowwolf420 -- Shederick! (audience cheers)Shederick, welcome. Please tell us about yourself.

(audience cheers)Yes -- thank you for wearing the uniform of our country. Wally and Candice are going to help us playing Hit Me. (FF reveal sfx)At least Wally is going to help keep score. Candice -- is going to represent the house, you see. In On A Roll's version of Hit Me, we play it relatively close to Blackjack. Candice gets *one* head start card, then you'll get two head start cards. And just what cards you and Candice get are determined by the numbers Candice rolls. She'll be rolling one cube at a time. After each roll, a card is drawn from this board. During the break, we shuffled a deck of 54 playing cards, including two jokers, and evenly distributed them behind these six dice faces. Just like Blackjack, an ace is either worth 1 or 11. A joker or face card always counts 10. Other cards are worth the number shown. Now, for Candice's head start. Candice, we love you -- but let's hope you get a rotten card to start. (audience cheers as Candice rolls...) She's starting with a 3. That means she get the first card behind Panel #3. (click) It's a 4. (ding)Now normally Candice would get a hole card at some point in time. But first, you get two cards. After you stand at less than 21, Candice will build on her hand. Just like Blackjack, you want to get closer to 21 than the house without going over. In case of a tie, you take the tie-breaker edge. Just like Blackjack, the house must stand at any sum of 17 or more -- and hit on any sum of 16 or less. So, with that, here come your first two cards courtesy of Candice. (audience cheers as Candice rolls...) She's rolled a 2 for you to start. Behind 2 we find... (click) ...the 7 of spades. (ding)How sweet it would be to get another 4. To clarify, if she rolls another 3, you don't get that 4 of hearts -- but you do receieve whatever card is behind that 4 of hearts. So, with that, Candice, roll again, please. (audience cheers as Candice rolls...) It's a 1. Well, we're going across the top for... (click) (audience cheers)...a king! (ding)I *think* I know what you want to do, Shederick. But I have to ask. Would you like to take another hit -- another card -- or stand on 17? (audience shouts suggestions)

(audience cheers)Speaking of Kevin, what was that show he hosted with the wacky obstacles? (inaudible correct answer given from crew members) "TKO". That was a fun show. The way things are going back in L.A., it may get pressed back into service. Just saying. Okay, you're standing on 17. Basic strategy move. Let's see if that's the winning move here. Candice, you're on a roll for the house. (audience cheers as Candice rolls...) Another 2. As I kinda sorta alluded to, Candice doesn't get another 7 of spades -- but she does get the next card behind the 7 -- which is... (click) (audience cheers)...a snowman! (ding)She's up to 12. A face card, 10, or joker means the house breaks and you're $25,000 richer. Candice, please roll. (audience cheers as Candice rolls...) It's a 1. Next card behind the king is, I hope, another face card... (long pause for dramatic effect . . . . . . . . . . .) (click) Joker! That's worth 10! (audience cheers)(ding)House busts. You win, Shederick. (dings; win theme plays; audience cheers)Easiest decision you made all night -- and you're $25,000 richer for it. How do you feel -- and do you have any more Kevin Hart quotes for us?

Nice to have you here from Canada. You're staying on terra firma as we play... ...Finish Line. It's been a minute since we've played this -- so let me explain how we play this. First, let's show you the special cube we use to play Finish Line. (Lisa holds up cube) It's just like a regular dice cube -- except that we've replaced the 4 with a 1... (Lisa rotates cube) ...we've replaced the 5 with a 2... (Lisa rotates cube) ...and we've replaced the 6 with a 3. The conventional 1, 2 and 3 are on the cube as well. Now, when Lisa rolls a number, the corresponding horse moves forward one furlong toward the finish line. The first horse to cross the finish line wins. Before we start rolling, Jack, it's up to you to pick the winning horse. Do so -- and it's $25,000.
