First I want to mention that I already have someone signed up to play in episode #6 against Kourtney. I am grateful for having had so many different players over the course of the first 5 episodes. This game has been a real blast to present to you all and I am hopeful to do so for a very very long time to come. Heaven knows I have plenty of question material in my database to use.
Second, during the High Card Toss-Ups, rather than having an Ace or 2 drawn to earn a Bonus Draw pick for the Pot Limit end game, 2 Bonus Draw cards will be hidden at random on the board instead from now on, making it a bit easier for players to win them.
Third, the winner of the first game of the match plays a mini bonus game HALF & HALF. I think I finally hit upon a version that I like most. I had considered scrapping it altogether but decided to still keep it as it ties in with the "Split" theme of the show.
If the player who wins game one of the match wins 3 hands to 0, they will play this mini bonus game for a top prize of $1,000.
If they win 3 hands to 1, the HALF & HALF bonus top prize will be $700. And if the player wins 3 hands to 2, the top prize will be $500.
Two halves of a split dollar sign will be concealed by 2 of the 3 numbers, and a frown behind the other.
The player's first pick now must be the LEFT half of the dollar sign. If the first pick is not, the game ends instantly and they win $0.
If the first pick is the left half, they can stop the game and take half of the top prize money, or try to find the other half of the dollar sign.
If they go for it and find the other half, they will win the full prize ($500, $700 or $1,000). If they go for it and find the frown, then they will lose half.
