I may use a different logo for the CBS version, that is if I can make or find one .
Net Game Hosts, I'm back at it again! I'm giving a host the chance to win over half a million dollars for their charity in my all-new Wheel of Fortune Celebrity Tournament! It'll be my last special Wheel show before we hit the road, so why not go out with a bang?
Look at my post in the "Show your stuff" section for part of the brand new set we'll be using...including a brand new wheel layout!
And I'm reverting my sound cues back to the 1989 cues for this show only, only because it's my favorite theme song the show used. Plus, I found a really nice edit of the theme.
Now...on to the format, which I made significantly different than the current Celebrity hour long show and the hour long specials of 1975, and formatted as little "notes" instead of a complete rulesheet:
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune special
Hour long format:
1st game:
3 rounds:
TDVs:
$2,000
$2,500
$5,000
Instead of traditional wheel prizes, they’re replaced with the dollar sign wedge. It’s a revival of the jackpot wedge: it starts at $2,500 and doubles each round ($2,500 to $5,000, $5,000 to $10,000, and $10,000 to $20,000. The jackpot value is capped off at $20,000). Each round, up to round 4, another dollar sign wedge is added, upping the chance of someone winning the cash. The wedge can be won more than once, but not by the same person. If a person lands on the dollar sign wedge with it already in possession, it acts as another top dollar value wedge, whatever it happens to be.
Free spin and Jackpot remains. Jackpot starts at $10,000 and increases each spin.
$25,000 wedge remains
No bonus round after game 1. The winner is held until game 3. The other 2 players play a brand new “Jackpot” type format.
GAME 2:
The 2 losers of game 1 play an all-new best-out-of-four format. Player 1 is at the red podium and player 2 is at the blue podium.
Instead of the values of each letter going into that player’s bank, the value goes into a cumulative pot. The pot starts at $2,500 and increases the same way a regular score is increased (i.e. if $500 is landed on and there are 3 T’s, $1,500 is added to the pot). Whoever ends up winning game 2 wins all of the money in the pot. If Bankrupt is landed on, the pot loses its house minimum, or $2,500.
Each time a player solves the puzzle, they win one point. The first player to reach 3 points wins the game.
If the game comes down to a 2-2 tie, a speedup game is played as a time crunch.
The puzzles are significantly shorter in this half of the match. Whoever’s the first player to win 3 rounds wins all of the money in the pot and plays the bonus round for a lot more.
There is a $10,000 house minimum for the entire hour.
BONUS ROUND:
The player is faced with the “W-H-E-E-L” podium. However, instead of the bonus envelopes housing prizes, they house multipliers.
The player is given $25,000 to play with, which is the least they can win. There are multipliers of 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, and even 20x hidden in the envelopes! If the players solves the bonus puzzle, the $25,000 is multiplied by what’s in the envelope, and is added to their score, for a maximum $500,000 at stake!
If you're a host and wanna snag a spot...let me know before I finish hosting my Turnabout show for Kevin Kolsen, otherwise you can also wait until the actual thread goes live! Hope to see you for a special event!
