It's auto racing. The money goes unclaimed for that one. Not to fret, because we have our big money bonus question, worth $1,500. The winner of this question goes onto play our final minigame, and the other player we have to bid adieu. Here it comes: Which programming language shares its name with an island in Indonesia? Kevin: 86 Bryan: 76 Buzzcode: 94 *Kevin buzzes in* Kevin for the win!

Is right for the win! *dings, win cue, cheers* You win $2,250 and the last preliminary of the match, and not only are you playing for more cash in just a moment, you also have the chance to win $15,000 in our midgame!
But first, we have to say goodbye to Bryan. Bryan, you played a great match out there...but couldn't quite cash in on the big dough. Wanna say anything before we say what you're going home with?

And we're glad you had fun here, and thanks for being with us. We'll give you $1,000 in cash plus a couple of parting gifts, which Darrell will explain in just a moment! Kevin, come with me to center stage if you will please!
*vamp theme, cheers*
Darrell: Some of our departing contestants who appear on Jackpot Trivia will receive...

Poppycock Fluffy Popcorn. Mixed with almonds, cashews and pecans smothered in a delightful buttery glaze. Poppycock, the delicious gourmet popcorn treat.

And a member of our studio audience will receive Dazey Turbo Spa. Helps turn your bath into a luxurious, stress-relieving retreat. Full-powered, full-featured. Turbo Spa -- furnished by Dazey.
Back to you, Immanuel!
*more cheers*
Thank you Mr. Hammond! Kevin, you prevailed...and now you have the right, the privilege, and the honor to play our final minigame of the night. But first, let's find out a little more about you. You said Kevin that you're an accountant. You must be pretty good at math then, I bet?

*more laughter, applause* So he does know his stuff! He doesn't need a calculator at his work desk! Well, now that we know that...we know you can calculate the taxes you'll have to pay if you win our next minigame! What's that minigame Darrell? Darrell: It's a minigame that involves no math...only precise luck. Kevin, we're headed to our version of Las Vegas and we're hitting the casino floor at the Roulette wheel! Reach in and grab a money ball, and win that money ball if the wheel lands on the color of your choice...but be careful! Immanuel can explain it better than I can...but I do know you can win up to...Twenty-five Thousand dollars in cash!
*cheers*
That's right Kevin, 25 grand! It's the roulette game! And no, not the roulette wheel you see at casinos...we have a full on carnival setup for you, Kevin. Do not be intimidated by this large wheel, we don't sell vowels here. *laughter* Rather inside of this blue bucket are 6 balls. We have cash balls of $250, $500, $1,000, $2,000 and $4,000. The sixth ball is the dreaded PIG ball, if you choose that ball the metaphorical pigs will eat all of your cash and you go home empty-handed. You'll choose a ball from this bucket, which will act as your bet for each spin. Then you'll choose a color, and if the wheel stops on the color you choose, you win your bet! If the wheel lands on a color you didn't choose, you lose your bet. We'll start you off with a cool $5,000: *ding* Now reach into the bucket, and grab a ball from the bucket and tell us what color you think the wheel's gonna land on! (Kevin, choose a number from 1 to 6 to simulate a ball grab, and tell me which color you think the wheel's gonna land on, all in one post)

Let's see the ball he chose... $250. That's your bet. If the wheel lands on red, you win an extra $250. Spin the wheel! *He spins, applause* It's slowing down on... Red! Ooh...that was close! You win $250: *many dings, applause* So...you have $5,250 in cash so far. Remember, you can make up to $4,000 on each spin, but you can lose up to $4,000 on each spin if you don't get your bet correct. Do you want to walk away with the $5,250 or take another turn? (Audience shouts suggestions)

*He grabs a ball* Let's see some money come out of there! It's another $250 ball. Land on yellow and you win another $250, otherwise you're back to $5,000: *He spins, applause* Oh no, Kevin...it's slowing down to the red territory: *buzz, audience groans* You're back down to $5,000 and 3 spins remain. Remember, there's a ball in the bucket that'll make you go broke and lose the game. So my question to you, do you wanna take the $5,000 or take spin number 3? *audience shouts suggestions*

Easy come, easy go.
#5, red.

Post by babytims on Jun 21, 2023 20:49:43 GMT -5
Let's see how much this spin will be worth... $1,000! *applause* You can go up to $6,000 if the wheel lands on red! Good luck, spin it! *He spins, applause* *buzz, loud audience groans* Oh my word! Look at that! I mean how close can you get! Just like an inch more and you would've had it! Well, we gotta deduct $1,000 from your score:
*ding*
So you're back down to $4,000...with 2 spins left. Now, if you keep going, choose the $4,000 ball, and lose your bet, or choose the Pig ball, the game ends and you lose everything. So my question to you is: do you wanna quit while you're ahead and take the 4 grand, or keep spinning?
*audience shouts suggestions*

Then you win $4,000!
*dings, applause*
So that's $4,000 for you Kevin...but I gotta ask, you're the last player of this half, so you're the last chance the Jackpot has in growing. You have a total of $6,250. That's $4,000 from Roulette and $2,250 in the preliminaries. Do you wanna keep that for yourself or add it to the Jackpot?
*audience shouts suggestions*

Ooh! The Jackpot gets fed again! *dings, applause* It's now up to $29,125! Someone will win that plus up to $15,000 more in the Choice Board game! That's our midgame, and that midgame is coming up in just a few moments! Don't move a muscle! *applause, fade to commercial* (fun fact...this commercial for some reason creeped me out as a child)

*applause* And we're back with more of Jackpot Trivia...specifically, the part of the show that shows the reason why this show is titled the way it is. We brought back Mr. Cluster, who immediately lost our very first game of the series. Sorry about that George, but you'll have your redemption in just a moment. We have Mr. Nels Snesrud, the first person to utilize the Jackpot system, and the reason why someone here can win a new car right here. And we have Mr. Kevin Kolsen, who won $5,000 in my personal favorite game on the show, The Roulette Game. He didn't wanna gamble too much, and I can't say I blame him. But for now...the gambling part is over, and one of you three will walk away with $29,125 in cash and prizes on top of anything else you won, plus up to $15,000 extra! *cheers* And whoever wins the midgame isn't through yet, for whoever wins this will go on to the Jackpot Board to win up to $35,000 and another new car! *more cheers* So, let's not waste any more time and start the midgame. It's very simple: I'll ask a question and give 4 possible answers. The person who buzzes in with the correct answer will choose from one of seven colored cards, this time holding cash. Each card holds values of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000 and $5,000...but be careful. 2 cards say "Out of Round", and choosing those means you're eliminated from the rest of the match. The game continues until all 7 cards are played, to which the last player standing wins the Jackpot and the match. Oh I forgot to mention: once a player gives a correct answer, they remain in control of the board and answers as many questions as they can or want until they get a question wrong, or hit an out of round card. At any point if you're in control of the board players, you can quit, and we'll go back to the normal buzzing-in-and-answering method of gameplay. Hope that all makes sense players. Good luck, and hands on your buzzers because here comes question number 1: Which planet is the hottest? Here are the possible choices...*ding*Venus, Saturn, Mercury, and Mars. What's the correct answer?
George: 25 Kevin: 68 Nels: 44
Buzzcode: 64
*Kevin buzzes in*
Kevin! What's your answer?

Yeah, that's right! *ding, applause* Now, to add to the Jackpot and to hopefully not exclude yourself from the game...pick one of the colored cards below the board!

Let's see what's in the brown envelope: *buzz, audience groans*
Aww. We don't have a dime in the pot and already Kevin, you're out of the game. And since you forfeited your money into the Jackpot...you walk away with just a consolation prize. Care to say any final words before we bid you adieu?

Well, thankfully roulette wheels don't have that color! You walk away with one of the consolation gifts Darrell mentioned earlier, plus $500 in cash! Thanks for being here, Kevin! *applause* Now, that means we have George and Nels left. Didn't think we'd be down to 2 so quickly. But in any event, only one of you will win over $30,000 in cash and prizes! *cheers* Here's question number 2: How many daughters does Barack Obama have? It's no more than 3, I can tell you that. What's the answer?
George: 36 Nels: 33
Buzzcode: 24
*Nels buzzes in*
Nels, what's your answer?
