In the midst of preparing for graduation on Tuesday...I completely forgot about the launch of Jackpot Trivia!

Everything should be about ready, and I'm intrigued as to how this show will turn out!

I changed a ton of things about this show between the announcement for the show and tonight, all of which will be implemented into this first episode. And yes, this is Episode 1, not a pilot, because I already did a test run of the show and it should (hopefully) work as intended.

Final thing, as you may probably tell by the credits in "Word You Like to Solve", I created a fake production company to house my shows for the rest of my tenure here on NGC called "Mannio Entertainment Productions", in honor of my late friend Io, which is a combination of her name and my nickname. This entire series, although it's intended to be short lived, I'm dedicating to her.

Enough chit chat. In preparations for Monday night's launch, I need 3 players ready to win a lot of cash and a lot of prizes!

I welcome you all to Jackpot Trivia! This is the show where knowledge is power, and knowledge combined with lots of luck can give a player a fortune! I'll explain how this game works in just a moment, but first...here comes tonight's competition!

Welcome to the show, folks! Good luck to the three of you guys tonight, as we hope to give away a lot of loot here for the first show. The last player remaining after the front match is said and done goes home with parting gifts, but the person who ends up winning tonight's midgame...will go on to the Jackpot Board to win over $35,000!

...with the preliminaries! There are 4 of you, but only one lucky...and smart...person will come up on this stage to play our very first minigame. We'll start by giving you all $250 in cash:

There are 3 questions, and the top 2 players...or top 3 in the unlikely event of a tie...will compete to answer a $1,500 bonus question! The show's mascot, the Jackpot. First off, we'll start by putting $5,000 into it:

That's the least amount of money anyone can win here tonight. The three players who played their minigames will compete in a trivia tournament, and whoever wins that wins all of the money in the Jackpot.



After each minigame, all of the player's winnings can go into the jackpot, or the player can take their winnings and just wait for the midgame. In the midgame, the Jackpot also increases for each correct answer, but more on the midgame later. Right now George, I want you to listen to Mr. Hammond as he introduces minigame number 1!

Darrell: Our first game is called 50/50, where players try to reach the top of the board, testing their luck skills to try and earn some money. Play this game well enough and you can win up to...

$10,000 in cash!

Yes, you'll be the first player to not only play a minigame on our show, but also the first person to play....



50/50. You have a 50/50 chance of winning enough money to make $10,000. You'll start at the bottom row and work your way to the top, where behind each panel in each row there's a cash award or a "Lose Everything" card. I'm pretty sure you can decipher what'll happen if you choose the dreaded "Lose Everything card". On the bottom row is a cash award of $1,000, $2,000 on the second row, and so on. After you pick something, and it's cash, you can either take what you won or risk it to try and win more money. If you can make it to the top of the board without losing anything, you win $10,000!

Can you believe this, our very first show and this happens to us? George, you don't win a thing here. Um well, sorry for that. But the good news is, you're not out of it yet! There's still the possibility of winning the Jackpot and of course, winning the match and a whole lot of loot in the endgame.

Now, the Jackpot is at $5,000. You have won during this round, $2,250. You can take that with you to the midgame, or giving it up for the chance to add it to the Jackpot and winning an extra $5,000 with it. What do you wanna do?
