We're now entering an alternate era of daytime Family Feud, where CBS has changed their minds about cancellation and decided to give us one more try. And speaking of second chances, I'm going to bring back the three families who lost in the first round of the last three shows. This will also be the last hourlong episode, as all future episodes will revert back to the standard 30-minute format.
Beginning with this episode, all changes will correspond with the previous syndicated year, so now we're in Ray Combs' final overall season hosting. The only change that takes place here is that the intro no longer has a sample question asked.
Also, there'll be no YouTube videos to show, as it's the beginning of the post-cancellation era. The three families that we're bringing back for one last shot at redemption are the Rheas (250 points in 1993), Ringgenbergs (200 points in 1992) and Liottas (0 points in the 1991-92 pilot).

Now that we got a full house, what do you say we let the show begin? (1988 FF Intro) ERIN HARRIS: Introducing the Liotta family, ready for action! Playing against the Ronggenberg family! On your marks, let's start...the Family Feud Challenge! (1988 FF Theme) Here's the star of Family Feud, Bill Skinner!Hello, guys! Good to be here yet again. Well, welcome to Family Feud, and we're still on CBS for one more year. You're probably wondering how we got back on the air after our alleged cancellation last year; the thing is, while it's true that the daytime version was cancelled in the real world, we've entered an alternate reality where we convinced Jonathan Goodson to give this series one more try, and here we are again. This was inspired by Wheel of Fortune on NGC, whose daytime version was cancelled by another network, but is still going on today. And just like Wheel, we're now going to adapt to the syndicated version according to calendar years instead of seasons. The reason I'm mentioning Jonathan is because he's the current head of the same company his father Mark founded, and inherited the role two years ago after Mark died. So thanks again, Jonathan. Now we're playing another hourlong episode, and this time, we're giving three families who lost the first game of our previous Challenge shows a chance to redeem themselves. For this game, we have the Liottas squaring off against the Ringgenbergs. Are you ready, Mark? Are you ready, Matt? Well, come join me at the front as we play Bullseye! (1988 FF Face-Off Cue, harmonica variant) This round is going to determine how much your family will be playing for in Fast Money. Let's start off with $2,500 in the Liottas' bank... blip!...and $2,500 in the Ringgenbergs' bank as well. blip! There are three questions, and the only thing that counts is getting the Number 1 answer. Each question is worth $2,500, so one of these families could play for as much as $10,000! Good luck to both of you, and here we go. We asked 100 people this question: Name a wild animal that growls.

Is grizzly bear the Bullseye answer? clang!(bells jangling) Direct hit! So now your bank goes up to $5,000. dong!Kourtney and Nels, come join me for the second question. For $2,500, here is your question: Name a material that is often recycled.

I think you may have hit the Bullseye with plastic. Have you? clang!(bells jangling) Yes, you have, so your team gets another $2,500 for their bank to make it $7,500. dong!Danny and Mark, step on up! This question represents your last chance to build your bank, and here it is: Name something associated with the state of Utah.

I think that's a good answer, but is it good enough to be the Bullseye answer? Show me the bees! (strike buzzer) Sorry, it wasn't. So Mark, you now get to add to your family's bank. What do you think?

Yeah, I think this could be the Bullseye for you. Is it the Great Salt Lakes? (strike buzzer) OH!!! I thought you had it. But this was the Bullseye answer; let's see it. dong!It was Mormons. Well, the Ringgenbergs have $7,500 in their bank, and the Liottas have $2,500 in theirs. (1988 FF Commercial Cue, fiddle variant) Which one of these families will play Fast Money for their bank? We'll have Round 1 of our game after these messages.

It's time to find out who gets a chance at their bank in Fast Money, so Mark and Matt, let's play the Feud! (1988 FF Face-Off Cue, alternate harmonica variant) The first family to 300 points wins the game, and will play Fast Money for their bank. And win or lose, they will move on to the second game later on in the show. I wish you both the best, so may the best family win. We asked 100 people this question, and the top eight answers are on the board; try to give us the most popular answer. Name something that is worn during hot summer days.

How about some shorts? clang!(bells jangling) Your got the Number 1 answer, so your team will play. But Mark, we may come back to you, so go back with your team and think up some answers if you get a chance to steal. So now we come to you, Nels. Can you name something else that is worn during hot summer days?
