(fade into applause) We are now ready for game 1 of this new match between Kourtney and Shederick. It takes 2 games to win the match and to move on to our Pot Limit bonus game which can be worth well over $50,000 each and every day! As you know the object of the game is to gain control of the cards and place them on the game board in such a way that you leave yourself as wide a split as possible while giving your opponent as narrow a split as possible at the same time. It's much easier said than done at times though! You win one hand by either placing a card between your other two cards that is neither higher nor lower or by having your opponent bust, in other words if they either keep a card or are passed a card that does not fit their split. Hand values are worth anywhere from $125 up to $250 and are randomly determined before we go on the air. If a hand proves to win the game for a player, then the given hand value is doubled. Should either player win this first game 3 hands to 0, that's called a BLITZ and they will win an additional progressive jackpot. It was won on or last show so it starts today at: $250. In order to gain control of the cards players, you must be the first to ring in and come up with the answer to a word puzzle. Word puzzle values range from $25 to $75 and are also determined randomly before we go on the air. Once I call upon you to provide the answer, you will have 48 hours in which to do so. Either a missed deadline or an incorrect solve of the puzzle will give your opponent control of the cards, but no money will be won. The puzzle toss up cash is only awarded if you ring in first and are correct. Here we go! This first toss up puzzle is worth $50, and whoever wins this first hand will win $175. I need a 7 letter word starting with B that connects the words SECURITY and POLICY (ding) Our champion Mr. Wilson has run in first. Kourtney you have until 6:30am EST on Thursday, May 11th to post your answer.

O yes! $50 for that correct answer and control of the cards Kourtney. First card for your consideration is... tpirepguide.com/qwizx/gssfx/usa/hr-double.wavWow! You definitely have a knack for collecting those insurance cards Kourtney! This means that if you receive a card during this match that would bust you, we'll take your insurance marker and deal you up the next card. And as you know, if you're able to carry any markers over into the Pot Limit bonus game, that can be quite valuable as well! Okay, next card is... a six. As you know Kourtney, you can keep that card for your own hand, pass it down to Shederick, or you may place it in the center as the common card that you both would share. What's your strategy for this six Kourtney?

I am going to pass the 6.

The six belongs to Shederick. Next card please... A five. Is that yours Kourtney or are you placing that in the center of the board?

Middle card.

Making a very tight squeeze for Shederick. Kourtney, the card you have kept for your own hand is... (gasps and groans) So, it's going to be one of THOSE type of days is it? Both players with a very tight squeeze, Kourtney only another 4 or another 5 would win for you, Shederick, only another 5 or another 6 would win this first hand for you. To gain control of the pivotal card, we will now play a HIGH CARD Toss Up: Kourtney, as you won the puzzle toss up, you get to go to this board now which will determine who wins control of the deck. The cards 2 through Ace are all shuffled and covered up on this board of 13 numbers. Each one is there only once. You will select 2 numbers. Select them in the order you wish for them to be revealed. After we show you the first card, you may keep it for yourself or give it to Shederick and keep the second card. Whoever ends up with the higher valued card will gain control of the deck. And should your first pick be either an Ace or a 2, those are instant winners PLUS, you'll pick up another Pot Limit Bonus Draw token, and those could prove valuable. Please select two numbers Kourtney.

I had an uncle with that very same birth date. #3 is... A 7. If you keep that, there will be 7 cards that beat it and 5 that won't. Are you keeping that 7 or passing it Kourtney?

Let's see if you can beat that 7 Kourtney. O Yes! And OOO that's too bad, if only you had revealed that Ace FIRST! Nevertheless Kourtney, you have kept control of the cards. Do you wish to keep the next card for yourself or pass it to Shederick?

Between having a tight squeeze of his own, and not wanting to lose that insurance marker so soon, Kourtney's electing to pass. Shederick, only another 5 or another 6 will win this first hand for you. Did he get that? Oh my goodness he DID!!!!!! And to add insult to injury Kourtney, had you kept it, that would have won for you as well! That being said, I dare say you played it right! Just extremely good luck for Shederick and bad luck for you, and that's an integral part of the game too! 1 Hand and $175 to you Shederick! www.dougmorris.net/chain/sfxding.mp3Next toss up. $25 for the puzzle, the hand worth $150. Looking for a 4 letter word starting with N that connects the split TURTLE with TIE... tpirepguide.com/qwizx/gssfx/usa/be-buzzer.wavKourtney, you are in first again and have until Monday, May 15th at 5:45pm EST to post your answer.

Neck is correct! $25 more for you Kourtney, now up to $75 and again in control of the cards. First card for this hand... It's like Deja Vu all over again! A six! I assure you one and all these cards were very thoroughly shuffled! Who gets the six Kourtney, you, Shederick, or will you want that as the common card?

Yeah…common card.

Six to an Eight is Shederick's split this time. And Kourtney, your split will be... A Jack down to an 8. Not very big splits for either player again. Kourtney, let's have you call out 2 more numbers, trying to keep the higher card to keep control again.

|
|
Post by pathfinder20 on May 14, 2023 17:46:07 GMT -5
Let’s go with 11 and 7.

Post by billmcdee on May 15, 2023 5:32:59 GMT -5
11 is... A Jack. Only 2 cards will better that while 8 will not. Do you wish to keep the Jack Kourtney? If so, then Shederick will get to make a selection to try to better it.
