Didn't know where else to put this.
I present to you all..."Pass the letter":
I present to you all..."Pass the letter":
This would be the new way I'd do questions on Sale of the Century, just to add a bit of variety and make it easier for me, because coming up with a million different questions is HARD. Let's load an example and show y'all how this works:
We've got a common letter that starts at the center, but can get passed around the board. The object is to find the word that would fit the letter, given a clue. In this case, the clue is:
"They're magically delicious". The players would have to decipher where to place the common letter under to complete the correct phrase. In this case of course, the common letter, C, is already under the appropriate word...because the answer is:
Charms! Guessing right would give the player a chance to pick one of the top boxes, 2 of which hold $5 cards, and one of which holds $10 cards! Of course, throughout the game it'd increase ($5/$10 for round 1, $10/$15 for round 2, $15/$20 for round 3, and $20/$25 for the Speed round). On an incorrect guess, the minimum amount for that question would be deducted from a player's score. Example:

Also although I seriously considered scrapping it, I've ultimately decided that the auction round is staying, however after a post-match discussion I had with Bill McDee, I'm using his suggestion on it. The highest bidder of course wins the prize offered, however in any event of a two-way tie for bidding (2 people giving the same bid), the third player wins the prize by default, and if it's a 3-way tie in bidding (all 3 players give the same bid) or if no one bids at all, then the prize goes unclaimed.
Finally, the format's slightly altered:
ROUND 1
5 puzzles
Instant Bargain
5 puzzles
Auction
ROUND 2
5 puzzles
Fame Game
5 Puzzles
Instant Bargain
ROUND 3
5 Puzzles
Fame Game
5 Puzzles
Instant Cash
ROUND 4
5 Puzzles
Fame Game
Speed round (10 puzzles)
So there you have it! What's to come for Sale of the Century next month. The tentative start date is Monday, March 13th...but things can always change! Expect some testing for my new "puzzle" format...maybe, and I will see you all at the trading floor at the Marketplace of America!
Wait...wrong show

Raymond buzzes in and decides to place the C under "Tasty" and gives the answer "Tasty Cookies". He loses that question, so by default, without picking a box for that question, he loses $5:
