Freeze!

Post by tmann3x on Apr 27, 2015 13:19:11 GMT -5
And we'll move Greg's freeze bar as he's now two cards away from a first round win. Question #3 is coming right up. *grabs card* Kevin-- Here's an Educated Guess question. "Furious 7" was the biggest seller in the Box Office. In millions, how much did the film have earned in the US alone?

I'm not a follower of the Fast and Furious movies so I'm just going to say $900,000,000.

[DING]Kevin says $900 million have made in the film "Furious 7". What do you think, Greg.. higher or lower?
Post by palmer7 on Apr 27, 2015 17:27:40 GMT -5
It was the highest-viewed movie for the 3rd or 4th week in a row, so I'll say higher.

Post by tmann3x on Apr 27, 2015 21:19:26 GMT -5
[DING]I don't know. It could be higher.. but not that high. Let's find out. Kevin says $900 million and Greg says it's higher. The actual number made in the film "Furious 7" in the US is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]$320,536,000. Not higher... it is lower. Kevin, you're still looking at a 5. Do you want to play on your 5 or change it?

I'll play it again, higher!

Lower than a Queen.. [DING, APPLAUSE]An 8. Do you want to play on your middle card or freeze, Kevin?

Freeze, Tony!

Post by tmann3x on Apr 30, 2015 21:17:56 GMT -5
And we'll move Kevin's freeze bar. Both players need two cards for the first round of the match. *grabs card* Fourth and final questions mean it's time to play-- Audience: SUDDEN DEATH! [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Tony: That's right, everyone. Sudden Death-- Someone has to win it on this play of the cards. Greg.. we've asked 100 third grade boys-- If a girl showed up to play and was a good basketball player, would you let her?How many of the boys say they would let a girl play basketball?
Post by palmer7 on May 1, 2015 7:40:56 GMT -5
That's going to be a high number. I think it's becoming more acceptable for girls to be athletic. We're breaking gender stereotypes left and right. So, if a girl's got game, I think a group of third grade boys are going to see that and let her play. 70.

[DING]70 out of 100 boys say boys say they would let a girl play basketball. Higher or lower, Kevin?

Tough decision. I think boys would still be at that age where girls have cooties so I will say it's a little lower.

Cooties? Is that still a thing?

Post by tmann3x on May 2, 2015 22:23:00 GMT -5
[DING]This answer will determine control of the cards. Greg says 70 and Kevin says lower.. The actual number of third grade boys say they would let a girl play basketball is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]77. Not lower.. it is higher. Greg.. it's decision time. You have an 8 and need two cards for the win. Kevin also has an 8 and needs two cards for the win. You have the option to change the card since you've won Sudden Death. If you pass it to Kevin, he MUST play on his 8 and call both cards right. What's your decision-- Play or pass?

If I change it, there's no guarantee I'll get a better card. Kevin, it's all yours. Lotsa luck.

*fade to logo* George: Closed Captioning sponsored today by the following--=================================================================================================================================== *back to studio* [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]Welcome back to Card Sharks. At the end of the first round, our challenger Greg have won the game and $500. Kevin will try to tie things up in this round. And during the commercial break, Rachel & Amber have delivered a new set of cards for our participants and there are some prizes hidden somewhere in this board. Let's start round 2 with our first question. *grabs card* Kevin.. we've asked 100 nine year olds-- Do your parents hide your presents in a place you've known about for years? How many of them say they have known their parents have hidden your presents?

Wouldn't surprise me at all if some of them knew. They're probably still believing in Santa just to make their parents happy. I'll say 54 of them.

Ahhhhhhhhh, the end of innocence. I once discovered my Christmas presents early when I was 8. They were in the master bedroom closet. Mom and Dad freaked out, but I was the one who ended up on my knees praying to God for forgiveness. Mormon guilt. That number's going to be even higher.

And the actual number is-- [DING-DING-DING, APPLAUSE]42. Not higher.. it is lower. And Kevin will begin round 2 with his base card-- --a 10.
