Staff announcer: Tune into "Local Music Mashup" -- tonight at 7:30. (vamp to opening theme) (camera zooms in on Wally) Tiffany: Wally is about to reveal three letters... ...in the last name of an actor who had a long run playing a fugitive. If you know the name is... ...David Janssen -- then you are -- ON A ROLL! (opening theme plays; audience cheers) And here come the ladies to help us out. Today, Puala is at the game board......Lisa is at the dice table.... Now, meet our host, ready to get on a roll, Doug Morris! (audience cheers) Doug: Thank you, Tiffany. Hellooooooo, everybody -- and welcome to On A Roll. The last time we were together, we had a champion who didn't leave the dice table a millionaire -- but did walk away with quite a bundle. And we have two returning players looking for more money. So, let's welcome today's rollers. (theme plays; audience applause) Raymond Weaver and Frank Driscoll are back at the dice table. Each player is on Level 1. Raymond so far has $3800 in cash winnings. Frank, with one strike against you, you're doing better in the money department -- $38,500. (audience cheers) But we're ready to give away a lot more. And let's start a new game with a name game. (FF reveal sfx)And we've got nine numbers accordingly hiding a famous person's last name. Players, as you know, I'll ask a toss-up question. Then, three letters will randomly appear. When they do, you may signal. First player to chime in and correctly identify the name wins four rolls of the dice. So, players, good luck and let's get on a roll with this. Who got on a roll -- when the New England Patriots hired him to be the team's head coach?(ding)
Players, please PM me your answer and a buzz code from 1-100.

(buzz)Judge says we can't take it -- so Frank, we give you a chance to steal. Three more letters will appear after I repeat the question. Then you get a free guess. Who got on a roll -- when the New England Patriots hired him to be the team's head coach?(ding) [NOTE FROM DOUG: Frank PMed me the correct spelling of the right answer along with the earlier buzz code.]Frank: Belichick (dings; audience applause) That's what we needed. Sorry, Raymond, but we've got a persnickety judge. Let's take a moment to meet our players before we start rolling the dice. Frank, please remind us what you do when you're not taking CBS for $38,500.

Well by day I’m a customer service manger at a local supermarket. But by night I’m a quizmaster for pub trivia at a rugby themed pub. I’ve also gotten started in the world of voice acting this year as well.

Ah, varied set of interests. Good luck in those and good luck in the game.
Raymond, the game is young. Plenty of time for a comeback. Please remind us what you do when you're not here at the dice table.

Best of luck in those pursuits and here in the game, Raymond. Frank, since you've won the first name game, please step into the box. Now before you take the dice from Lisa, we need to load up a game board. (FF reveal sfx; Puala poses by game board) And there we have numbers and blocks hiding three clues that lead to the identity of a person, place or thing. Frank, as you know, you'll roll numbers and sums with the dice to uncover as many letter as you can. The spaces blocked by question marks stay blocked until you correctly solve a clue. As you roll, please avoid doubles. Anytime you throw doubles, you lose control of the dice to the opposition -- who picks up a free letter. (Lisa hands Frank dice) So you've got the dice and the rules. Frank -- you -- are on a roll. (audience cheers as...) (Frank rolls)Starting with a 5 and a 3. This means you may take any 5 and 3 off the board -- and you don't have to play them on the same row -- or you may play the sum and take an 8.

(Puala touches screen)Starting top shelf for a G... (Puala touches screen)...and an N. Frank, as you know, you may guess the top row's clue or roll again. Players, remember, there's no penalty when guessing a clue or the overall solution of the puzzle.

(Puala touches screen) And you get an E for that effort. Guess the middle row's clue, Frank, or roll again? Two rolls of the dice remain in this round.

(Puala touches screen)We end the round with a U... (Puala touches screen)...and an S. That moment we realize "E.R." was a big hit in the U.S. -- for another network. (scattered laughter from crowd) But I digress. Frank, you may guess the bottom row's clue if you'd like. A wrong guess or a pass means we wake up Raymond and play another name game.

Okay, we'll leave the board as it is. Time for a new name game. Raymond, let's see if you can get your hands on the dice this time. Frank, perhaps you can build on your progress. Let's bring in the next name game. (FF reveal sfx)And here's an eight-letter answer to this question. Who got on a roll -- when he won his first gubernatorial election in New Jersey? (ding)
(Raymond and Frank, please PM me your answer and a buzz code from 1-100.)
