(ding)
Very good, you have 25 there now with two cards to fill in. Something to keep in mind Immanuel is that if you get down to your 13th and 14th cards drawn and you still have these spaces open, you will have to take both of those cards and if by chance they were both high diamonds, you could bust by going over 41, so ideally you want to fill in the hand before the very end if you can to avoid that possibility of being forced into a bust.
Next two numbers please Immanuel.

25 and 15 it is!
(ding...ding)
Well, that would be great if we were playing Blackjack, but sadly we're not! - (audience chuckles) - Try again Immanuel.

This time, we've got
(ding...ding)
Nope, hearts and clubs again! Now, going back to what I said earlier, if you want to play it safe, you could take one of these cards. The next two choices are your last for this hand and if they are both high diamonds, it is possible you could bust. On the other hand, two relatively high diamonds next would be wonderful.
What do you think Immanuel and also what are your final two selections for this hand?

Okay, your final two cards that you must take are
(ding...ding)
the Ten of Hearts and 5 of Diamonds! - (audience applauds)
So that's a pretty good opening hand Immanuel, you have scored with 4 of 5 cards!
(ding)
So that adds up to 30 points at five bucks a point is
(ding ding ding)
One hundred fifty dollars for that hand plus another five hundred coming to you if it holds up to win! - (audience applauds)
Nels, you're up sir. You need 31 to win the hand. Which two cards would you like to start with?

3 and 4 are
(ding...ding)
the Ace of Diamonds and Jack of Spades. No pair to start for you either Nels, so you must choose one of those as your suit card and then give me your next two numbers as well please.

(ding)
Well, I have to say that's a curious choice Nels given that Immanuel has just used up a bunch of diamonds, not to mention the fact that the Ace is worth only 1 on our show as I explained at the beginning. You never know though, the King and Queen of diamonds might be on the board somewhere, plus there might be one or both of those Joker cards too, so we'll see how this goes.
Cards 9 and 12 are yours and they are
(ding...ding)
Well how about that! We talk about it and there it is! I won't even ask Nels, I know you want that card!
(ding)
So you can use that Joker to represent a 10 or face card, so you have a total of 11 at the moment...find two of either the 10, Q or K of diamonds and you would win the hand!
Next two numbers, please.

You didn't have to declare it there, it's implied that you are using it as having a value of 10.
Let's see what 23 and 24 have to offer.
(ding...ding)
A club and a spade, nothing helpful there. Try again please Nels.

20 and 19 are concealing
(ding...ding)
A heart and a spade. No luck there either.
You will have to take 3 of these remaining 6 cards Nels. Let's hope we find some more diamonds! Which two this time please?

Let's see what those two cards are.
(ding...ding)
Well well well...I won't even bother asking you Nels. You are forced to take one of these cards in order to fill your hand and I'm pretty sure I know which one you want.
(ding)
So, here's the situation. You have 21 in your hand. Immanuel has 30 but to win all you need is 9 because you would win a tiebreaker since his high counting card is a Jack and you have a Queen. In fact, a Joker trumps all for high card in our game, so you'd break the tie on that as well. So, if numbers 8 and 16 are concealing any combination in diamonds that total 9 or more or if one of them is the other Joker card, you win the hand Nels!
Let's find out who takes the opening hand in this best-of-seven! Show us those last two cards please!
(ding...ding...audience ahhhhs)
Nope, no diamonds remaining on the board unfortunately Nels.
(ding)
It's not all bad though, you've scored 21 there at five bucks a point totals
(ding)
just over a hundred bucks for your first hand Nels. I hate to mention this, but if you look back at the cards you drew, if you'd taken that Jack of spades instead to start with, you'd have had a perfect 41 as your score (the Jack, the Joker, and the three spades, 7, 6 and 8).
Not to worry though Nels, you're trailing at the moment, but it's far from over yet. Immanuel, congrats though, your 30 held up as high hand so it's a $500 bonus for you!
(ding ding ding ding ding)
- (theme and applause begins) -
And that's how we play 41 folks! Immanuel leads it one hand to nothing, but we'll shuffle the deck and set things up for Hand Number 2 when 41 returns after these words! - (continued music and applause; fade to commercials)

- (fade in with music and applause) -
Welcome back to 41! We have just one hand out of a best-of-7 in the books and Immanuel Tims took that hand. Will he take a two-hand lead or will Nels Snesrud even it at a hand a piece.
Let's start finding that out now, shall we? Nels, you get first crack at the word for this hand, so let's reveal two letters at random for Nels please.
(ding...ding)
Nels, do you want to guess at it or pass to Immanuel?

Immanuel says the word is funeral. How about it, is that right?
(bzzzzzzzzzz)
No, federal was the word we were looking for, but that was a good guess Immanuel.
Nels, you get to start building your hand first this time around - find yourself a pair of face cards up there if you can!

Alright, so as you did in the first hand, you'll build this second hand from diamonds. Choose your next two numbers please Nels and we'll hope for a pair of diamonds or even better, a pair of Jokers would be sweet!
