If you've seen my post in the Coming Soon section, you'll notice that Price is taking on many changes. All of which are going to happen immediately.

I think an alternative idea might be needed.
I have a couple of thoughts.
1. "Recycle" the 2 players who were eliminated during the first Showcase Showdown.
2. Perhaps for future episodes, have 4 contestants only, the first item up for bids all 4 bid, the second item, the three remaining players bid, the third item up for bids the last 2 in Contestant's Row will bid.
I recognize this goes against the grain and the spirit of the program. Why more people do not seem to want to play this baffles me as you do a sensational job with hosting, as well as the graphics!
Anyhow, I hope I am not out of line in posting this here. It makes me feel disappointed FOR you Immanuel that more are not wanting to play this.
A third thought occurs to me as well, something that was tried on another Price thread here...perhaps having contestants being "cloned", e.g. Bill McDee - 1, Bill McDee - 2.
Just kind of brainstorming possible alternative solutions to keep the game going.
