I did a search and it seems like it has been a while since anyone did a version of Press Your Luck, so I thought I would give it a go. My version has the same basic premise of the original show, but I have added a few new elements to it. Here are the details:
- We will be using BigJon's game along with a script I wrote to have you stop the board - each spin will be its own YouTube video so that you can see the game in action
- There is a new format for the initial questions that uses a static version of the board to determine how many spins the contestants get for Round 1
- Spins for Round 2 will be as follows: 3rd Place after Round 1 gets 3 spins, 2nd Place gets 4 spins, Leader gets 5 spins
- The leader after Round 2 wins the game, becomes defending champion and plays the "Dollar Whammy" bonus round
- In the bonus round, the object is to purchase as many keys as possible from spins off the board for chances at opening locks that might pay out more than $1,000,000
- No matter what happens in the bonus round, the winner earns 1 key for winning the game itself, so we will always have a shot at giving away the million on each show
I am hoping to start the show on New Year's Day. I need 3 players please. The person to sign up first will be the first to play on the show.

(fade in with intro music beat)
Neil Ross: Today
these 3 players will try to get their hands on as many of these keys as possible
with the hopes they will open these locks
for a potential payoff of more than ONE MILLION DOLLARS! - (audience begins cheers and applause)
To do it, they'll have to win big bucks
and avoid the Whammy! - (scattering of boos) - as they play the most exciting game of their lives!
From Television City in Hollywood, it's time to
Press...Your...Luck! - (theme music begins along with more applause) - And now, here's your host - Jack Thompson!
(I emerge from the back of the Big Board and walk to my podium next to our players)
Thank you so much and let's keep that applause going for our announcer Neil Ross! - (audience continues applause)
Yes, it is indeed time to press your luck or more specifically, time for our three contestants to do it and before we are through today, it is guaranteed that one of them will have a crack at opening one, two or maybe all three of those locks and walk away a millionaire! - (applause)
Our version of Press Your Luck plays out similarly to the original from back in the 1980s, but with a few changes we hope you'll like. Before we start playing though, let's meet our contestants in the game today beginning with Nels Snesrud! - (audience applauds) - We drew straws backstage and Nels chose the longest one, so he is going to start off the game play here shortly, but first Nels, we'd love to know anything you'd care to share with us about yourself please.

I'm a high school senior from Los Angeles, and I also love to act whenever I get the chance!
In my spare time, I love writing, watching movies and stand up specials, board games, hanging out with friends, and of course...watching game shows!

Well, you will certainly have the chance to show us your acting skills when you talk to that board during your turn. Best of luck to you as well, Immanuel. Let's get to it shall we by taking a look at your current spin totals:
(ding)
As you would expect, none of you currently have any spins. Here is the first difference with our show from previous versions - we're gonna start all of you off with a free spin!
(ding - ding - ding)
We do that because it is possible you won't get any additional spins going into Round 1. The reason for this involves our Big Board, so let's take a look at it now!
(blinnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg)
There is it in all its glory, but as you can see, it looks a bit different than usual. This is because we are about to use it to determine how many spins the three of you are going to start with. Here is how this will work.
In a moment, I am going to ask Nels a question and he will have to give me an answer. I will then ask Matt and Immanuel whether they believe Nels' answer to be true or false. If Nels answers correctly, he automatically earns 1 spin and a choice of a number from our Big Board which could reveal one of three things - another spin, two more spins or a Whammy! If Matt and/or Immanuel choose their true/false option correctly, they also get to select a number from the board, but they don't automatically earn a spin. For this portion of the show, selecting a Whammy doesn't wipe out your spin total, it just ends your turn. Once two of you have found a Whammy, the third person will get one last choice from the board trying to find additional spins and then we will begin Round 1.
I hope that made sense, if not you'll get the hang of it as we go along, so let's have at it and earn you three some spins! - (audience applauds) - For each question, you get to choose from one of three categories. Nels gets the first question, Matt the second and Immanuel the third and so on in that order until two of you have hit a Whammy. As you can see, there are 18 numbers up on the board, 5 of which are Whammies.
Nels, which category would you like?
ANIMALS
ENTERTAINMENT
FOOD AND DRINK

Entertainment is the category and here is your question Nels.
(ding)
What TV series showed the first interracial kiss on American network television?

Nels says it happened on Star Trek back in the 1960s. Matt, Immanuel - is that true or false?

This one is open to interpretation based on what you classify as a race. There are some that will argue that Lucille Ball (of European ancestry) and Desi Arnaz, Jr. (an Hispanic man) had the first one on the "I Love Lucy" show back in 1951, but the 1950 census classifies them as the same race. William Shatner (also of European ancestry) kissed France Nuyen (Asian ancestry) on the Ed Sullivan show in 1958. There are others that have occurred as well, but "Star Trek" is the answer we were looking for as it actually had three instances of interracial kisses, again albeit open to interpretation, one in 1966, one in 1967 and one in 1968. Because of these varying race interpretations, even if one of you had said false, I was planning to award it as correct anyway.
So Nels earns a spin
(ding)
and a choice from the board. No whammies now Nels! Which number would you like?

12 is my birthday month as well! Happy Belated birthday to you, hope you had a good one. Here is a belated birthday gift for you.
(ding)
It's a spin! We add that to your total
(ding)
and you're up to three spins now Nels! Matt, what number would you like?

Number 5 is
(mrrrrrrrrrrr mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp)
a Whammy! You found one of those 5 Whammies right off the bat unfortunately Matt, but you will have that 1 spin for Round 1 and there are spaces on the board that can earn additional spins - strange things can happen in this game sometimes, so you might still wind up the leader after Round 1. Immanuel, there are still 4 more Whammies up there, so be careful! What number would you like to choose?

Let's see what sixteen reveals
(ding)
Nice! It's one of only two spaces on the board that has 2 spins!
(ding)
So you are up to 3 spins as well now Immanuel and since Matt unfortunately hit a Whammy, you'll now have a shot at getting at least 2 more spins by answering our next question correctly. Please choose from one of these categories, Immanuel:
ANIMALS
FOOD AND DRINK
GENERAL
