I believe it is fairly well established that I am the elder statesman of these boards, having just passed year hurdle number 56 some eight days ago.
Growing up near Trenton NJ (Ewing to be specific) I had the great good fortune during the B.C. years (Before Cable) to have access to both New York and Philadelphia TV stations.
One such New York Channel was WWOR, Channel 9, an independent station (as was Channel 11 WPIX in New York). They were regular channels, not UHF (for those of you who have no idea what UHF is, feel free to research about it if you want).
In any event, From 1962 til 1993, a man who was the king of nostalgia, Joe Franklin, had a talk show that was on usually in the wee small hours of the morning. Every now and again, when I was ill and not able to sleep (much like right now LOL), I would watch his show.
I found a youtube video of him being interviewed by someone.
His office is nothing short of a disastrous fire hazard! I mean I am far from a neat freak but good Lord! This guy had to be the inspiration for the reality TV series "Hoarders".
