With the launch of The $100,000 Pyramid about a week away, I'm going to let you guys here decide how this should be done. This will more or less follow the tournament format of the 1980s version. For those of you not familiar, the tournament consists of three contestants with two of them playing with two celebrities on each show. The first player to beat the Winner's Circle wins the tournament and $100,000. If both rounds go by without the $100,000 being won, the player who won the most money from the Winner's Circle will play with the third player on the next show. In the event of a tie, a coin toss will determine who stays. If the $100,000 is won on the first game of a show, the second game will be played between the other two contestants for a $10,000-consolation prize.
The poll is to determine whether or not there should be a qualification. Under the first set of rules, I'll host games until three different contestants beat the Winner's Circle, whether the prize is $10,000 (winning one game) or $25,000 (winning both games in one show, regardless of the $10,000 being won the first time).
Under the second set, the first three players who sign up will already be considered in the tournament. However, there is no 7-11 or Mystery 7 in any tournament main games (but the winner of a 21-21 tiebreaker still receives a $5,000-cash bonus).
The poll will lock at the end of April 15th, the day before I plan to launch the show.
