Today will be our third annual pilgrimage to the local casino for my son's birthday.
It's a tradition we started two years ago on his 21st birthday. Today he turns 23.
I was 24 and his mother was less than a month shy of turning 23 when we were married back in 1991, so this birthday really gives us pause.
It was also one long decade ago that he first became a teenager.
While my current job has been by far my most favorite paying job in my lifetime, and while being a net game host has been the second most rewarding non-paying "job", being a Dad has been the single most rewarding job I've had the privilege and blessing of having had lo these past 23 years, and Lord willing, will for several more.
