Based on the 1974-75 syndicated game show "Dealer's Choice".
Round 1:
Lucky Slots will be the opening game. The 9 symbols will be covered up. If the lemon symbol is selected, the game ends and players lose their initial wager. 1 to 10 chips can be bet in this opening game, and is a parlaying bet.
There will be a maximum of four rounds during the Lucky Slots game. Round 1 will have player 1 select one of 9 boxes (which will be lettered from A through I). Round 2 will have both player 2 and 3 select one box each. Round 3 will have all 3 players select boxes. As the money to be won potentially increases, so too does the risk.
If after 3 rounds of play the lemon has not yet been revealed, the final round will have player 1 select one last box.
Players can bail out at any time if they have a fear of the lemon.
Game #2, Spin to Win:
Players may wager anywhere from 1 to 25 chips during this second game. One spin of the wheel will be made. Each player will make a bet and select which suit they believe the wheel will stop on.
24 spaces on the wheel, 12 are Spades, so the odds are 1 to 1 for that, 6 are hearts, so the odds are 3 to 1 for that suit, only 4 clubs on the wheel making the odds for that 5 to 1, and finally 2 Diamonds, a long shot but a huge payoff of 11 to 1 if the wheel should land on that. I will use random.org or some other method to determine where the wheel stops.
Round 3 is the Blackjack round, and players may wager anywhere from 1 to 50 chips in this game. Straight up blackjack, no splitting, no doubling down, simply trying to beat the house.
The house hits on 16 and less, and stands on ANY 17 and more (including soft 17's e.g. A plus 6).
If a player's total beats the house, they win even money. If the player's total is less than the house, or if the player goes over 21, they lose their bet. If there's a tie, the player neither wins nor loses his/her bet.
A Blackjack pays 2:1, unless the house also has a Blackjack, in which case, the player would win nothing, but lose nothing either, as it would be a push.
If the first 2 cards the house gets totals 21 (a blackjack) the game ends right then and there.
Round 4 (Last Chance Round):
Off To The Races is the final game to determine the day's winner.
***(EDIT UPDATE 07/12/22)*** - This game each contestant can wager as little as 1 chip up to as many chips as they want to. No limit for this final game.
The blue horse pays off at even odds, 1 to 1. That horse will advance one space along the track every time I roll a 1, 3 or 5 on a single die.
The gold horse pays off at 3 to 1 odds. That horse will advance one space every time I roll a 2 or 4 on a single die.
The long shot horse, in red, pays 5 to 1 odds. That horse will advance one space every time I roll a 6 on a single die.
The player with the most total chips after this round will be declared the winner, will receive $25 per chip won, and move on to play the bonus dice for a shot at up to $120,000.
The second and third place finishers will receive consolation cash prizes. The amount of those will be dependent on how much the day's winner has won.
BONUS DICE:
One die will have all cash amounts (2) $250, (2) $500, (1) $750 and (1) $1,000.
The other die will have (1) $250, (2) $500, (1) $750, (1) $1,000 and one Spade.
After a player rolls the dice, if both dice come up with money, that will be added to their pot. The player has the option to stop the game or continue rolling.
Should a player amass $5,000 or more without the spade appearing, that $5,000 (or more) total will be multiplied by 5, 10, 15 or 20, depending on how few rolls it took the player to reach the $5,000 goal.
If a player scores $5,000 or more in just 3 rolls of the bonus dice, their total will be multiplied by 20, for at least a $100,000 cash payoff.
If the player gets to $5,000 or more in 4 rolls, the final total will be multiplied by 15. 5 rolls will multiply the total by 10. Anything over 5 rolls will multiply the $5,000 (or more) total by 5.
If at any time the Spade appears, the bonus dice game ends and the player loses all their money in the pot.
There will be no returning champions.
I will let you know when I'm ready to start this game.
Thank you for your votes and your interest.
Warmest regards,
Bill
