Hello, everyone, and first of all, a VERY Happy belated New Year! Yeah, I know, it's May, but I had a Hiatus due to LIFE, but here I am, and back from the dead, as I'm slowly trying to recover from a flooded house thanks to a faulty washer. Don't worry, we'll be fine. Right! Now, here I am at Walt Disney World in Orlando to celebrate Disney's 50th Anniversary, and we'll be here throughout this year with some special events and guests, so be sure to be on the lookout for that. And what better way to start our Disney 50th Anniversary celebration than with Uno: The Game Show! Some notes are in DEFINITE order. 1. This is Episode 5 of the series, and to Matt Ringgenberg and William Low, you two will sit out as you have played on our last episode. 2. Shederick Weatherspoon Jr. is our current champion and has accumulated $82,409 in cash and prizes. 3. The Clean Sweep Bonus is at $5,000 while the All Rounds Cleared Jackpot is now at $20,000. 4. The Grand Progressive Jackpot is currently at $1,800,000. 5. Shadoe: What do Walt Disney World and the world's most popular card game, Uno, have in common?
They are both celebrating 50 Golden Years on Earth and they have attracted multiple generations from the past, the present, and most certainly, the future.
Fifty years ago, the Walt Disney World Resort, born of impossible dreams, opened its gates. And beginning October 1, 2021, the magic is calling everyone to The World’s Most Magical Celebration – the 50th Anniversary at Walt Disney World Resort.
In 1971, Merle Robbins in Reading, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, he spent $8,000 to have 5,000 copies of the game made. He sold it from his barbershop at first, and local businesses began to sell it as well. Robbins later sold the rights to UNO to a group of friends headed by Robert Tezak, a funeral parlor owner in Joliet, Illinois, for $50,000 plus royalties of 10 cents per game. Tezak formed International Games, Inc., to market UNO, with offices behind his funeral parlor. The games were produced by Lewis Saltzman of Saltzman Printers in Maywood, Illinois.
In 1992, International Games became part of the Mattel family of companies, and became one of the most popular games ever since.
And now today, as of 2021, both Uno and Walt Disney World are now 50 years old!

Now, we're going to talk to you guys in a little bit, but first, let's play the game! And whenever there's a game, there's some rules! And the rules goes a little bit of something like this: The main object of the game is to score points, as well as cash and prizes, by eliminating all of the cards in your hand first before your opponents do. Before each round begins, our players will have their cards dealt by our referees during the commercial break. They know their cards, but they don't know their opponents' cards, and a good way to win the round is to study your foes, as well as studying the cards. Now, before the show began, a new team of Lab Rats from Tandem Technologies, a RANDOM.ORG company, were the ones responsible of shuffling the cards for 2 minutes non-stop before sealing the deck and giving to them to Mari. She then unsealed the deck, and one of our producers, at random, gave the deck a good cut. In fact, speaking of cards, each player has 7 cards to begin with at the start of each round, like the normal game. BUT! Here's something exclusive that we, and only we people do here on Uno: The Game Show, and that's by giving you players a Head Start! (Audience Oohs)In other words, before you even begin playing the cards, you have a chance to discard all BUT ONE of your cards from your hand. And the way we do that is by answering questions. I have 3 questions in my hand, players, and after giving out the Multiple-Choices and then the question, you will then buzz-in. You will have 24 hours to answer the question the moment you buzz-in, and we must accept your first response. If you're right, not only you'll score 100 points, but you'll also get to discard 2 cards from your hand and our referees will put them at the bottom of the deck. But be careful, because if you're wrong, you'll get to add 1 more card to your hand, and the other players can buzz in and steal. So, you can start the round with as little as 1 card, or as much as 10. And now, here's a little twist! [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] In front of you is a board with 12 numbers and behind each of them are numbers 1-4 and a WILD card. I'll talk about the WILD card when someone picks it. Whatever number is revealed, we'll multiply that by $50 and that's the value of how much that question will be when you get it right. Shederick, since you are our defending champion, you'll get to start us off by choosing one of the 12 numbers on the board.

If you don't have a match or if you don't want to play, you must draw a card from the top of the deck. From there, you can play that card or pass (if you can't or if you want to, that's up to you). If you could play and chose to draw a card though, you can't play another card than the one you've just drawn. Now, in addition to all of the numbered cards in the deck, there are 32 Action cards in the deck: 8 Skip, 8 Reverse, 8 Draw +2, 4 Wild and 4 Wild Draw +4 cards. For the first round, only 14 of them will be used: 4 Skip, 4 Reverse, 4 Draw +2, 1 Wild and 1 Wild Draw +4 to make things fair. But that will change when the 2nd and 3rd round and the Head-to-Head Showdown, the Wild Card Championship round occurs. We'll talk about that later.
