Hello, everyone, and first of all, a VERY Happy belated New Year! Yeah, I know, it's May, but I had a Hiatus due to LIFE, but here I am, and back from the dead, as I'm slowly trying to recover from a flooded house thanks to a faulty washer. Don't worry, we'll be fine.

Right! Now, here I am at Walt Disney World in Orlando to celebrate Disney's 50th Anniversary, and we'll be here throughout this year with some special events and guests, so be sure to be on the lookout for that.

And what better way to start our Disney 50th Anniversary celebration than with Uno: The Game Show! Some notes are in DEFINITE order.

1. This is Episode 5 of the series, and to Matt Ringgenberg and William Low, you two will sit out as you have played on our last episode.
2. Shederick Weatherspoon Jr. is our current champion and has accumulated $82,409 in cash and prizes.
3. The Clean Sweep Bonus is at $5,000 while the All Rounds Cleared Jackpot is now at $20,000.

Shadoe: What do Walt Disney World and the world's most popular card game, Uno, have in common?

They are both celebrating 50 Golden Years on Earth and they have attracted multiple generations from the past, the present, and most certainly, the future.

Fifty years ago, the Walt Disney World Resort, born of impossible dreams, opened its gates. And beginning October 1, 2021, the magic is calling everyone to The World’s Most Magical Celebration – the 50th Anniversary at Walt Disney World Resort.



In 1971, Merle Robbins in Reading, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, he spent $8,000 to have 5,000 copies of the game made. He sold it from his barbershop at first, and local businesses began to sell it as well. Robbins later sold the rights to UNO to a group of friends headed by Robert Tezak, a funeral parlor owner in Joliet, Illinois, for $50,000 plus royalties of 10 cents per game. Tezak formed International Games, Inc., to market UNO, with offices behind his funeral parlor. The games were produced by Lewis Saltzman of Saltzman Printers in Maywood, Illinois.

In 1992, International Games became part of the Mattel family of companies, and became one of the most popular games ever since.

And now today, as of 2021, both Uno and Walt Disney World are now 50 years old!

DK: Right you are, Mickey, and hello, everybody! Welcome to our very special 50th Anniversary Walt Disney World episode of Uno: The Game Show! Both our card game and Walt Disney World are celebrating 50 years and hopefully 50 years more! And while we're at it, let's have a hand for the one and only announcer, Shadoe Stevens!



Shadoe: Thank you, Dayo. Happy 50 years to Uno and Walt Disney World, and cheers to 50 more!

DK: Yes, indeed! And boy, oh boy, have we got a GOOD one for you all tonight, as I know and you know, that many people have travelled from around the world to be at this special place, and as a Floridian, I take great pride in this beautiful sunshine state...even though there are some...."hiccups"....that I would NOT talk about, if you all know what I mean, but we're not here to talk about any of that.

NO! We're here to have a GREAT time, and I know you folks at home want to enjoy this show, and I'm glad that you are, because we got some EXCITING new changes starting here tonight, so expect a LOT of great surprises here tonight, and...if luck comes to our side, someone here, in this very special place, could walk out of here, with our special Golden Jackpot of $50 Million!

Immanuel, Shederick and Nels are in their respective podiums with referees Ian, Anthony and Jovenshire on their side, keeping everything in check.

Now, we're going to talk to you guys in a little bit, but first, let's play the game! And whenever there's a game, there's some rules! And the rules goes a little bit of something like this:

The main object of the game is to score points, as well as cash and prizes, by eliminating all of the cards in your hand first before your opponents do. Before each round begins, our players will have their cards dealt by our referees during the commercial break. They know their cards, but they don't know their opponents' cards, and a good way to win the round is to study your foes, as well as studying the cards. Now, before the show began, a new team of Lab Rats from Tandem Technologies, a RANDOM.ORG company, were the ones responsible of shuffling the cards for 2 minutes non-stop before sealing the deck and giving to them to Mari. She then unsealed the deck, and one of our producers, at random, gave the deck a good cut.

In fact, speaking of cards, each player has 7 cards to begin with at the start of each round, like the normal game.

BUT! Here's something exclusive that we, and only we people do here on Uno: The Game Show, and that's by giving you players a Head Start!

In other words, before you even begin playing the cards, you have a chance to discard all BUT ONE of your cards from your hand.

And the way we do that is by answering questions. I have 3 questions in my hand, players, and after giving out the Multiple-Choices and then the question, you will then buzz-in. You will have 24 hours to answer the question the moment you buzz-in, and we must accept your first response. If you're right, not only you'll score 100 points, but you'll also get to discard 2 cards from your hand and our referees will put them at the bottom of the deck.

But be careful, because if you're wrong, you'll get to add 1 more card to your hand, and the other players can buzz in and steal.

So, you can start the round with as little as 1 card, or as much as 10.

Also, as he is boarding Flight 13, he notices that there are 13 steps on the ramp. At this, Bianca suggests that he jump the last one, so he does.

Basil of Baker Street, in "The Great Mouse Detective", has many quirks, but triskaidekaphobia is not one of them.

During the Headstart Portion of the round, if any one player answers all the questions correctly, including the one question for control of the round, then that's a Clean Sweep, and will earn the Bonus of what's in there. It starts at $2,500 and increases the Pot by $500 each time it isn't won, and since Immanuel got that last question right, breaking Shederick's streak, the Clean Sweep Bonus is now at $5,500.

And if one of you players win all 4 rounds of the Main Game, and you'll get the All Rounds Cleared Jackpot, which starts at $10,000, and it will increase by $2,500 every time it isn't won. Right now, it's at $20,000.

Now that I got that out of the way, we've finished the Headstart Portion of the Round, which Immanuel and Shederick each have 5 cards while Nels has 7.

Also, Shederick has $250 and 100 points while Immanuel has $50 and 100 points, and any cash score they get will be theirs to keep, no matter what happens.

Now, we're about to deal out the cards, but first, let's explain how this main portion of the round works. And also, here's a video for those of you who don't know what UNO is about.



The traditional rules of UNO is applied, which a card can be covered with the same number or the same color, or a Wild card. If you don't have a match or if you don't want to play, you must draw a card from the top of the deck. From there, you can play that card or pass (if you can't or if you want to, that's up to you). If you could play and chose to draw a card though, you can't play another card than the one you've just drawn.

Now, in addition to all of the numbered cards in the deck, there are 32 Action cards in the deck: 8 Skip, 8 Reverse, 8 Draw +2, 4 Wild and 4 Wild Draw +4 cards. For the first round, only 14 of them will be used: 4 Skip, 4 Reverse, 4 Draw +2, 1 Wild and 1 Wild Draw +4 to make things fair. But that will change when the 2nd and 3rd round and the Head-to-Head Showdown, the Wild Card Championship round occurs. We'll talk about that later.

That's a total of 90 cards to deal with, and since that we have 17 of them out in the open...

...there are 73 cards left in the Draw pile, and that is actually important, because if the Draw pile is empty, or if time runs out, or if any one of you plays the last card (after doing the Golden Rule), then the round ends, and the scoring system will come into play.

Reverse = 20 Points
Draw +2 = 20 Points

That will come into effect to the one lucky player who finishes the hand in that round. However, if, in any round, we're out of time or if the Draw pile is empty, the round ends, then the player with the least amount of cards is the winner. He will be awarded with 100 points, but the total will be first added from his own hand, and then deducted from each of the opponents' hands, and the winner wins the remaining points and 100 times that total in cash.

Phillip, being that true love, comes to save his princess but has to slay Maleficent, who has turned into a dragon by this point in the movie.

That card cannot be used properly if you can play a colored card instead, because if you choose to do so, your victim can check your hand and even expose it all to everyone out there, and to you folks at home as well, to see if you had the right to use it.

If you were right to do so, then the victim must draw SIX cards instead of four.
