Michael Clifford is our newly crowned champion. He has won 1 match and a total of $12,550 in cash and prizes.
He won the car on our last show, but elected to give it back to try to win another match, and perhaps re-win that car, plus a cash briefcase filled with $25,000.
He is in need of a new challenger. The first person to indicate their desire to do so shall participate, with the exception of Matt Ringgenberg, only because he appeared on the previous episode.
Also, I have a ginormous favor to ask of Michael and his would-be challenger, as well as any future contestants.
I own, among other gadgets, a handheld Yahtzee game. In addition to using it for Yahtzee, I also use it for dice baseball and have used it whenever I would host mock game shows with myself during testing out periods.
In lieu of doing buzzcodes, it is my wish to use this device instead to determine who "buzzed in" first. The player on the left would get the total of the first 2 dice, the player on the right the last 2 dice, and I would ignore the center die.
So for example:
Player A vs Player B
I roll - 5 1 2 6 4
Player B would be the first to "buzz in" since the 2 dice total 10, vs. a total of only 6 for player A. The center die, in this case the 2, is ignored by me.
If it is a tie, such as 2 5 6 6 1 for example, I would simply re-roll until the tie is broken.
It would make my life much simpler, and I have found it has been a fair way to determine who "rings in" first whenever I've done mock games.
So if there is no objection, that is what will be used for Gambit P.M.
Also, if anyone is interested in how I do/did my Dice Baseball, feel free to ask me about it via p.m. I based many of the combinations off of a dice game I owned back in 1990 called "Jose Canseco's Perfect Baseball Game".
Thank you, one and all...
Bill

Checking in.
BTW, if you want the dice to be the "buzzer", I'm fine with it.

picosong.com/wicm/Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Match this half a check… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): with THIS half… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): and you might win TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in cash in an instant, tonight… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): On Gambit... Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): PM. A game of skill, fate and fortune. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): And now, from the Bob Barker Studio at CBS Television City in Hollywood, here's your host for this evening… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Bill McDee! That's me! (applause & cheering) I thank you and I bid you all a very pleasant good evening. Two nights in a row our champions won a car, only to give them back again! If this confuses you, don't let it. It's a new additional end game where if a player selects a car symbol, they can leave us, or hand back the keys and try for the car again, plus cash. Our newly crowned champion had the car in hand, but decided to return it to come back, try to win his second match, get a second chance to win that car plus a briefcase filled with $25,000! And of course each night now at our Gambit Board, players can also win this check also worth $25,000 in cash! (applause) (walking over to my podium) We are indeed the show with BIG BUCKS, and NO WHAMMIES either, just a regular deck of 52 over sized playing cards that we use. And as always, we have someone very lovely to deal these cards, say hello to our lovely and adorable dealer, who also happens to be my niece, Lynn Jennings! Good evening Lynn! Lynn - Good evening Uncle Bill, good evening ladies and gentlemen! Bill - (Off Camera) Something looks a little bit...different over there Lynn. Lynn - Yes, we have some new props to identify our champion. A "crowning" achievement so to speak. (audience chuckles) Bill - (Off Camera) Well, there is that, but there's something about YOU Lynn that looks, well...just a little bit different, am I right? Lynn - There is indeed. You are going to be a great uncle. I already AM a great uncle, you've told me so yourself often! Lynn (shaking her head) - Well yes you ARE a great uncle, Uncle Bill, but I mean you are going to become a "Great Uncle" as I am expecting my first child! (cheering & applause from the crowd) Bill - Ah ha! I KNEW you looked a tad bit different! I congratulate you and your husband on your upcoming parenthood. If it's a boy, you will name him William, after me, yes? picosong.com/q789/Lynn - Moving right along, tonight's challenger from Long Island New York, an accountant, welcome Kevin Kolsen! (applause) Lynn - And our returning champion, a very good and gutsy player who gave back the car on our last show, has cash and prizes totalling $12,550....from New Jersey, it's Michael Clifford! Lynn - Gentlemen, good evening and good luck. (applause) Bill - Well I guess that answered THAT question, Lynn Kevin, welcome to Gambit P.M. Being an accountant this time of year especially must keep you hopping, but you're in the home stretch of things now what with that dreaded April 15th date looming, yes?

While we await Kevin's response, as I recognize this is a very busy time of year for him, Michael Clifford, we welcome you back to Gambit P.M. You are a gutsy player to be sure. You had a great hand of 20 last night, unfortunately the house drew 21. $4,550 sure thing you turned down to try to win double that, and that is admirable. Also, you, just like your predecessor, located the car but decided to give it back and play on to try to win another match, and possibly find the car symbol again. For you there will be at least 2 up there tonight, as this is your second night with us. I say "at least 2" because Any 21 at the Gambit Board now automatically adds an additional car symbol to the board. And of course Michael if you find that car symbol tonight, I'll hand you back those car keys, plus a briefcase filled with $25,000. I take it you are feeling very confident about winning this match against Kevin, yes?

I am definitely confident, Bill.
BTW, the first time I was a contestant on Gambit PM, I thought Lynn was single. I didn't know that she was married. So, let me just say to Lynn's husband:
PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!! I HAD NO IDEA THAT SHE WAS MARRIED!!! I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE!!!
(audience laughter & applause)

Indeed a busy time of year for you Kevin, to be sure. Glad you're able to take some time out to play our game of BlackJack with a brain. No problem at all Michael. My nephew-in-law is an upstanding young man who is also, coincidentally, an accountant. Speaking of accounting, Lynn is about to break the seal on a brand new deck of freshly shuffled Gambit cards... We play with a standard deck of 52 cards. The challenger is assigned the task of cutting the cards, that would be you Kevin. At this time, please select a number higher than 0, but lower than 52. That will represent how deeply into the deck the cards will be cut for tonight's match. We'll use the same deck throughout all 3 games of this best 2 out of 3 game match, and it will also be used for our mini-bonus game "Beat the Dealer". The winner of game 1 of this match will play one hand against our dealer Lynn, to try to win a bonus cash prize. Also, the winner of game #1 will receive this prize as a bonus, and here's Frank to tell us all about it, Mr. C? picosong.com/9LQ9/Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Right you are Bill! It's a digital camera. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): The versatile Samsung Smart CAMERA NX30 delivers the performance you demand. Its 20.3 MP APS-C CMOS sensor ensures brilliant images even in low lit situations. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Retail value, $575. (applause) So as soon as Kevin gives us a cut number, we will proceed with game #1.

Very good. Just a friendly reminder that all deadlines are 48 hours with regard to answering questions. And also a friendly reminder, if either player scores exactly 21, they will win the game instantly, $1,050, since we pay $50 per point, plus the Any 21 Jackpot which currently stands at... (CLANG) $1,250. But if you score 21 with just two cards... (CLANG CLANG) We pay double, or $2,500. All questions are toss-ups, and worth $100 each plus all important control over the card. You score $100 if you are right or if your opponent rings in first and is wrong, or takes too long. Before we reveal the first card for this first game of our match, let's look at our question board... Since the challenger Kevin cut the cards, our returning champion Michael gets to pick the first question. Top or bottom?

After the question is answered, we will THEN reveal the first card of our match. A S.I.T. .... SAVES NINE... www.qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/dd70-buzzin.wavA very special thank you and shout out to my long-time net game friend and colleague Cle'ment Couvreur for his kind assistance in teaching me to animate things. And Lynn has revealed the card up for grabs is a Queen of Hearts. Kevin, in lieu of this being Good Friday and Passover time, I'm extending the deadline until Monday at 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time for you to answer.

I dare say, keeping this card is a wise gambit indeed. Let's find out. Lynn? Please... Lynn??? Lynn - Sorry Uncle Bill, just call this a "pregnant pause". (audience chuckles) (applause) Well done Michael! All tied up at 10 to 10. This next card could prove quite pivotal, which means this next question could prove quite pivotal as well... And let's add a new question choice to the board... www.qwizx.com/gssfx/usa/tpirding.wav(audience laughing) (peeking at the answer written on my card) Ladies and Gentlemen, I can ASSURE you the answer to that bottom question is NOT what you might be thinking, otherwise, we would be removed from the air immediately, and replaced with "Love of Life" reruns. Michael, which do you want, the top or the bottom question?
