We will begin now. All deadlines are 48 hours and here we go. Me: 15 questions, 15 answers, one million dollars. It may look easy, but looks can be deceiving. From New York City, it's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?: Sports Edition! (cue Millionaire theme; I enter the studio to a tremendous applause from the audience) Me: Welcome everyone to this special sports edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?. The popular quiz show is back, but all the questions here are sports related. And if your knowledge of sports is strong, then you could wind up winning a million dollars. Let's bring out our first million dollar hopeful right now, Michael Clifford! (Michael walks out onto the set to a rousing cheer from the audience) Michael Clifford, it's a pleasure to have you on our show. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself please?

I'm from Marlton, New Jersey & I'm currently unemployed. As for sports, I like to follow the Philly teams (Eagles, Flyers, 76ers, & Phillies) & even though I like the Phillies, my favorite baseball team is the Boston Red Sox.

Well we welcome you to our show, Michael. As you know, you're 15 questions away from $1,000,000. You have three lifelines to start you off. Ask The Audience, 50:50 and Double Dip. Once you pass the $1,000 level, you get a fourth lifeline, Switch The Question. I'll explain about that lifeline if we get to that point, but right now, let's play Millionaire! (game begin sfx) First question's for $100 and here it is. Which NBA team did Kobe Bryant score 81 points against during a game in 2006?
A) Boston Celtics B) Toronto Raptors C) Philadelphia 76ers D) Chicago Bulls

Hockey's not my strongest sport. I'll use my 50:50 lifeline.

OK, I'm probably sure it's not 6 because I believe Mario Lemieux scored 5 goals in 5 different ways in a single game one time. I'll go with 10. Final answer!

Well, the NBA shot clock is 24 seconds, so it's not 20 or 25. I've heard rumors that some coaches want it to be 30 seconds, but that hasn't happened yet. I will say 35 seconds, final answer.

(Back to the studio) Welcome back to our sports edition of Millionaire. Michael Clifford has won $1,000 so far and he's now going for $2,000. Before we go on, Michael, I would like to point out that since you made it past the $1,000 level, we're adding another lifeline to help you out. It's called Switch The Question. Upon using that lifeline, the question that is asked will be replaced by another one. You still have your other two lifelines with you. Let's play for two grand. (game begin sfx) This is for $2,000 and here's your question. Jesse Owen's world record in which sporting event stood from 1935 until 1960? A)Hurdles B)Long Jump C)100 meters D)200 meters

I don't recall Jesse Owens doing the hurdles or the long jump, so I will say 200 meters. Final answer!

It's not the 200 meters either. (wrong answer sfx) And that was your last chance. Let's see the right answer please.
B) Long Jump
It was in fact the long jump where he had set his record. But you leave with $1,000 and that's better than nothing. Thanks for being here, Michael. (game over sfx) We'll try to give away a million to another contestant after the break. (Fade to commercial) All right, I need another contestant in order to continue on. Who wants to go for the million next?
