Michael Clifford has been on stand-by to participate, so he will be the next challenger.

Thank you Matt for checking in, for your patience and loyalty lo these many years We'll wait to hear from Michael. My time on here may be limited later today as we're "supposed to" get 5 to 8 inches of snow. It said 1 to 3 overnight, and we got exactly 0, but it looks like snow is finally arriving here, so I'll be busy shoveling most of the day more than likely.

Greetings Michael! I just came in from doing 2 hours worth of shoveling myself. I figure if I get some of it done, won't be QUITE so much later. My job actually gave us off today too!
Once again my sincerest apologies to you for the oversight with episode 8 Michael, and apologies for the long delay in getting episode 9 underway.
I will request at this time for both of you Matt and Michael to send me via private message twenty buzzcodes ranging from 1 to 100.
I have a new style of questioning to try out for this episode, and I'll explain more of that when we get started.
Also, an exciting "old" new feature will be in play at the Gambit Board.
Some nice prizes to be won too for each of the first 2 games of our match, plus a bonus prize for becoming the day's champion!
Thank you once again for your loyalty and patience.
Bill

Once Matt submits his buzzcodes to me, we will begin, probably this afternoon as I am at work now, in spite of the treacherous roads

picosong.com/wicm/Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Match this half a check… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): with THIS half… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): and you might win TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in cash in an instant… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): On Gambit... Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): PM. A game of skill, fate and fortune. Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): And now, from the Bob Barker Studio at CBS Television City in Hollywood, here's your host for this evening… Frank Caliendo (as Kenny Williams): Bill McDee! That's me! (cheering & applause) Oh my I thank you kindly! I wish one and all a very pleasant good evening and am delighted to announce the return of our "half check" feature which originated on the daytime version of Gambit lo about 40 or so years ago. Tonight at the Gambit board, if our champion uncovers both halves of THIS $25,000 check, and can beat the house, they will in fact win $25,000 in cold hard cash! (applause) Lots of other exciting cash and merchandise also waiting to be won, including a brand new automobile, so let's get right to business! We have a very lovely and delightful young lady who serves as our hostess and dealer on Gambit P.M. I am somewhat biased perhaps because she is also my niece. Say hello to Lynn Jennings! Good evening Lynn! (applause) Good evening ladies and gentlemen, good evening Uncle Bill! Bill (off camera) - Lynn, any day now you yourself are going to become an aunt for the first time. Lynn - Yes that's true. My husband's brother's wife is due sometime later this month and we're all anticipating the baby's arrival. Bill - Lynn, if you need any advice about good "aunting" skills, please hesitate to call (chuckles from the audience) Bill - Lynn, Auntie to be, please introduce us to tonight's players... picosong.com/q789/Lynn - It would be my pleasure... Lynn: "First, he hails from the Garden State, has a passion for television game shows, the Philadelphia Eagles Flyers and 76ers, and enjoys Casey Kasem's American Top 40 program, welcome Michael Clifford!" (applause) Lynn: "And our returning champion, a supermarket courtesy clerk who is also involved with Special Olympics, back for his second night with cash and prizes totaling $15,700, welcome Matt Ringgenberg!" (applause & cheers) Lynn: "Contestants, Good Evening and Good Luck!" Bill - Michael, I grew up on Casey Kasem. He was the voice of Robin the Boy Wonder on the SuperFriends not to mention Shaggy on "Scooby Doo" on Saturday Morning cartoons, and in my formative teen years I grew up listening to his American Top 40 program. He definitely left an indelible impression on me and on millions of Americans. Lynn says you're an Eagles fan. Big news out of Philly this week with the release of Shady McCoy. What say you about that Michael?

It was a stunning move, but I understand why Chip Kelly did it. It was because Shady did not play for the University of Oregon.
(audience laughter)
I kid, I kid. I just hope that Chip knows what he's doing.

Hence the phrase, "Let the Chips fall where they may." Hopefully you'll make all the right moves as you play our game here this evening. Good luck to you Michael.
Now our returning champ with $15,700 to the good, it's Matt Ringgenberg from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Matt, in the northeast it's been another crazy cold snowy winter. Has your part of the country been affected adversely by this very long-lasting winter?

Not too bad at the moment.

And indeed you yourself are not doing too bad at the moment either here on Gambit PM with over $15,000 in winnings.
Matt, if you win today's match, there will be at least 2 car symbols on the Gambit Board during the car portion of the end game. If you uncover the car symbol again, you'll win the car plus $25,000 in cash today and then face another decision.
Lynn is now breaking the seal on a brand new deck of freshly shuffled cards. The challenger gets to cut the cards. We will use this same deck throughout today's best 2 out of three game match, as well as our Beat the Dealer mini-bonus game.
Michael, please select a number higher than 0 but lower than 52. This will represent how many cards you wish to remove from the top of the deck for the cut.

The cards have now been cut. The winner of game #1 will win a nice prize plus $50 per point, with a house minimum of $500. Any 21 will also win a progressive jackpot. It starts at $1,000 and grows by $250 each game it is not hit. Right now the Any 21 jackpot stands at... (CLANG) One-thousand two-hundred fifty dollars. Get a 2 card 21, and we pay double the jackpot. Also, the winner of game #1 will get to play a mini-bonus game called "Beat the Dealer" to try to win more bonus cash. The first player to win 2 games wins the match, a very nice prize, plus they get to play at our all cash Gambit Board and also a chance at a brand new automobile! We begin each game by revealing the first card. Lynn? (applause) That's a nice way to start. To win control over that King of Hearts, you must be the first to ring in with a correct answer. If right, you will earn $100 and control. If wrong, your opponent will automatically win $100 and control over the card. We have a new style of questioning that we're going to try out starting with tonight's match. In the past, questions were multiple choice. Tonight, the questions will use initials instead. Here is an example of our question board... We will show the beginning of a statement. The player in control will select which question, top or bottom, they want asked. If TOP was selected, the question in this case would be... W.M. WAS..........THE ORIGINAL HOST OF "GAMBIT". The answer, Wink Martindale. The BOTTOM question....T.T.S. WERE.....KNOWN AS LARRY, MOE AND CURLY......the answer audience is? Audience (in unison) - THE THREE STOOGES!!!!! Right you are! For getting that right audience, you will each receive equal shares of a three-dollar bill! Matt, as you are the champion, you get to select which question we'll play first. Let's have a look at the questions... Which question do you want asked Matt, top or bottom?

Once a player receives a card which puts their score at 12 or higher, and puts them in the lead or keeps them in the lead, the player will be given the option to freeze or continue playing. If you continue playing however, you will not have the option to freeze again until you receive another card and if that card puts you back in the lead again. We've added a new question to the question board... Matt, since you are in control, you again get to select. Top or Bottom?

So sorry, $100 will go to Michael. The correct answer, Pythagorean Theorem. On Gambit, we only show the first card at the start of each game of the match, so this next card in Lynn's deck is a mystery. Michael, do you wish to keep the card, or pass it to Matt?

First card for you Michael... (groans from the audience) That 3 just may work out fine audience. Let's see how it plays out. Michael, you now control the question board, and we've added a new question to it. Are we to play the top question or the bottom question this time Michael?
