Hello friends, I was contemplating something, but had a little trouble, so I want your insight. To max out my hosting duties, I wanted to do 1 more show. I was thinking, in honor of it's 50th anniversary, to do The Price is Right: Seasons. Obviously this means I would go back to 1972 and play Price each year leading up to now. The idea sounds good on paper, but the only problem is inflation. For many years, Price has given away cars valued at less than $10,000, and the game pieces reflect this (i.e. Any Number's board only had 4 spaces for the price of the car until the 80's, and 3 Strikes only had room for 4 digit cars until the 80's/90's, etc.). One problem I had to fix this was do what the 1990 dos game did, and use regular 4 digit prizes in place of the original cars, but to me this wouldn't seem fun or fair. The other idea I had, which I see no problem with, is Jeopardy: Seasons. I would cover the daytime (Fleming) series first, then do the nighttime series. The only problem with this is that Frankie already technically has this game going on this site, and it wouldn't be fair to him (in my opinion) to "go up against him". One more show I had in mind was Tic Tac Dough, which again is being done by Tony. If you guys could help me out that's great, of course feel free to express your opinions down below. Thanks and have a blessed day/night

Here's a thought, but it may prove tricky for some games like Any Number...
If you're wanting to use the original board with just 4 digits in the price, you could use a modern price of a car and type it into an inflation (or I guess in this case a DEflation) calculator and re-adjust 2021 prices to 1972, 1973, etc.
The inflation calculator allows you to plug in any dollar amount and any year from the past to find out what said item would be worth today.
Could prove painstaking though, which Price is Right is anyway and prizes and prize copy, which is why I'm shedding prizes for my "Three on a Match" game starting with episode 16.
Best, Bill

Ok, so I have a new idea: I am going to do a few miniseries/one-offs of certain shows after TPIR's 50th anniversary to test the waters and see how the shows I host play out before I make it an actual series. I have different ideas and graphics for a lot of shows, and I wanted to test them out.

In addition to the Inflation Calculator, you may want to watch some old TPIR episodes on YouTube, plus some ads that would be appropriate for the era you want to replicate.
