Hi! I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to give an update on how I'm doing. I know people have been curious as to what I have been up to the last, almost, 6 months. It's been nuts.
I am doing quite well, been extremely busy.
In terms of my puppeteering, since March, the last time I posted here, I have done 2 short films, both have been well-received. I have also been working on a new episodic podcast called "Monster Adventures". I release my first episode on the 15th (link below).
My Instagram livestreams have gone very well. I celebrated my first anniversary of my Instagram show "Bingel Live" on May 7th. This was the biggest, and the best, show I have ever done (and certainly the longest, clocking in at almost 3 hours). The anniversary show was, pretty much, a who's who in the Internet Puppet Community (somewhat. We're well into our 2nd year of shows, very successful now at 64 shows we've done. All of which are so fun (you can come check us out in the link below).
As for other stuff, I just started my final semester of college. Yeah, I'll be graduating soon. Yep, almost done.
In terms of Marty Monster, he's doing wonderful. Very happy and energetic as usual. He also got to meet a big star in the puppet community recently. On July 17th, Marty met Luckl-Duckl Bird. Who is he? He's a character from "Bird Call Radio", another amazing puppet troupe in Orlando. Some of you know who they are. For those who don't, they're a bunch of birds who run a radio station. They met on another livestream run by All Felt No Filter (another puppet troupe in Australia). Luckl surprised Marty, Nimrod (All Felt's character), and another character who was on that night. NONE of us were expecting it. Poor Marty Monster was absolutely starstruck meeting him (just like I was when I interviewed Luckl last year). I've been a big fan of Bird Call for the last 3 years (and they know me quite well). They've been around for nearly 2 decades, but really have taken off the last, oh, 5-6 years or so.
Oh yeah, Marty Monster & I got to meet Noel MacNeal too. We met him (Virtually of course) back in early April. Noel has done puppeteering on shows such as Sesame Street, The Great Space Coaster, The Puzzle Place and Bear in the Big Blue House, among many others. This was a true treat for me as I have been a huge fan of his work for many years.
We also have a new character around here His name is Julius. He's a snoof. For those who are friends with me on Facebook (and/or follow us on Instagram), you've seen him around.
That's all I got. Hope to have another update real soon!
Stay well, see ya soon!
