I found out last night before going to sleep that actor Edward Asner, who portrayed Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and it's spinoff titled "Lou Grant" passed away. I believe Mr. Asner was 91.
This happened not long after Gavin Macleod passed away. Mary Tyler Moore, Cloris Leachman, Valerie Harper, Georgia Engel and Ted Knight also have all passed away, leaving Betty White the lone surviving member of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show". Betty's 100th birthday is due to take place I believe January 22nd of next year (2022).
She also outlived each of her other three "Golden Girls" co-stars.
Amidst lots of other sad news nationally, internationally and for myself locally and even personally, I cannot help but to feel for Betty, and also for Mr. Asner's family and friends during this difficult time of transition in their lives.
During times of trouble and crisis, I cannot help but cry out and say "Oh Mister Grant!".
