Arguably two of THE most significant non-political Americans of the 20th century died on this date, August 16th...
On this date way back in 1977, the King of Rock N Roll, Elvis Presley died suddenly at the young age of 42.
I remember exactly where I was, who I was with, and what I was doing when the news came across on 56 WFIL AM Radio that we had on.
Also on this date way way back in 1948, Babe Ruth, the King of Swing died at the age of 53.
Both men died so incredibly young and it gives me great pause to think that I am now 54, a year older than the Babe when he passed.
Both men were living proof that it's not the amount of years in your life that matters, rather, it's the amount of life in your years.
