R.I.P. Markie Post

Was saddened to learn of the passing of Markie Post.

She was one of the stars of Night Court on NBC during the 1980s.

She was also an occasional dealer on NBC's Card Sharks.

Ms. Post I believe was age 70 which surprised me.  I didn't realize she was 70, yet that is still far too young to die.

Condolences to all her family, friends and fans.

Markie was behind the scenes on the original "Split Second" (you can see her among the rest of the staff in the series finale) and "Double Dare" (the one hosted by Alex Trebek; Alex made mention of this when Markie competed on Celebrity J!). IMDb also notes she worked on the original "Family Feud".

It appears Markie paid her dues in the entertainment world by taking those game show gigs in the 1970s -- and then never forgot those roots guesting on SP and "Pyramid" in the 1980s.
