   HELLO, EVERYONE!!! And welcome to Wheel of Fortune Diamond Deluxe's 10th Episode! And boy, have we got a VERY special event coming up! This is the Olympics Summer Games Special Edition, which means that all puzzles in this game will have something to do with sports and many Olympic events. Also, as promised, today, we got some special things coming up in this episode, and it will happen every 10 episodes of this series! Now, special or not, we need to do a recap! 1. First of all, if you haven't seen our last episode, you should go check it now.2. The current value of the Vault is $404,770. 3. To William Low, and Nels Snesrud, the ones who have played our last episode, please sit on your hands and let someone else play. 4. Also, about the Triple Toss-Up, just to clarify, yes, I know that only one category is used for all 3 puzzles, but to me, it got bland very quickly, so I want to mix it up and add more variety into it. 5. Well, Dayo. I am from Southern Georgia and work as a cashier (dispatcher) at a national sub sandwich chain. I like to learn about different cultures and different languages. I also like to collect cigar boxes and pens of different writing styles. My favorite sport in the Olympics would either be gymnastics or wrestling. Both need tenacity, concentration, and timing.

That's certainly great to hear! In fact, it's a bittersweet feeling that you've just mentioned about gymnastics, because I've just heard word that Simone Biles, Four-time Olympic gold medalist, has withdrawn from the team competition due to some medical issues. She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions. To me, it was a shocker, but she told reporters her withdrawal from Tuesday’s competition was to prioritize her health and protect her team, but if there was any good news, the team did at least win a Silver Medal. And let me tell you something, she took a lot of guts to withdraw, but she knew that something was wrong due to either her body and/or health, and I believe that she made the right decision to withdraw. You've got to take care of yourself first and not take any chances to turn a bad situation worse. So I think that Simone has just empowered everyone to put their mental well-being above everything else. WHAT A QUEEN. GOAT in more ways than one.  Yes, it's a setback, but I know that Simone will be back. Congrats! (Audience Applause)With all of that said, good luck to you, pathfinder20, also known as Kourtney Wilson. I am from Livingston, New Jersey. In September, I am starting my freshman year of high school. I have been watching the Olympics a little and the event I think I'm looking forward to the most is baseball, which is my favorite sport.

Well, since you are going to High School, I'm going to give you some advice. 1. Make a visit before school starts Your high school might offer freshman orientation where you receive your schedule and have the opportunity to check out the lay of the land. This includes the location of the gym, cafeteria, main office, freshmen lockers, and bathrooms. If your school doesn’t have an orientation, you may still be able to explore right before school starts up again in August. If you have an older sibling in high school, ask them to give you a tour of the school. 2. Get involved ASAP Many clubs will hold meetings in the first month of school where newbie freshmen can come and check it out. Your school may also have a club fair where you’ll be able to see the entirety of student organizations you can sign up for! Make sure you involve yourself in clubs or sports that interest you. Doing so, you may have a chance in the future to pursue a leadership position. Plus, you’ll be able to meet new people who share the same interests! 3. Pick fun electives that aren’t too hard High school is probably the first time you’ll be able to take elective courses. You can choose from classes in music, art, photography, creative writing, carpentry, computer science, business, and so on. Pick something that sparks your enthusiasm, but that isn’t too challenging. You’ll want to see how you do in your core classes (Math, Science, English, History, and Foreign Language) before piling on the work with tough electives. 4. Don’t skip class First impressions are everything, and attendance COUNTS. Some schools will put your number of absences on your transcript, and colleges WILL see that. It’s not a good look to show a ton of absences in your freshman year. You’ll probably want to save those for college visits. 5. Remember that freshman year counts Even though most people think that junior and senior year are the most important, freshman year grades still count towards your GPA. So while you might not be thinking about college just yet, you WILL BE in a couple of years. The last thing you want are your bad grades from freshman year haunting you on your college apps. 6. Ask questions in class If no one else is asking questions, that doesn’t mean everyone understands what the teacher just said. Half your class probably has the same question as you, but are too afraid to ask. Your peers will be so grateful that you have the nerve to actually raise your hand and ask the question. To encourage you further, do not be intimidated by your teachers because they want to know that you are engaging with the lesson! 7. Learn to manage your time Believe it or not, students who are busier (i.e. involved in extracurricular activities) obtain higher grades. This has a lot to do with the time management skills that are necessary for a hectic schedule. If you struggle to balance school work and extracurriculars, check out our tips for time management! With a little more practice, you will become a total pro at enhancing your productivity! 8. Write down all of your assignments When you’re in the classroom and your teacher announces the homework, it’s easy to tell yourself, “Yeah, I’ll TOTALLY remember that.” But after a full day, you’re going to get home, collapse on the couch, and completely forget about that response paper for English class. Sometimes it’s okay to text a friend, but don’t make it a habit. Get a planner, and write it all down. If you don’t want a planner, use apps or set reminders on your phone. No matter the style you prefer for organization, there is an option for everyone. 9. Learn to speak up for yourself When you encountered a problem in middle school, the adults in your life likely took care of things for you. When you start high school, your teachers will view you as a young adult and expect you to feel comfortable talking to them. If you’re having trouble keeping up in class, dealing with a bully, or even experiencing problems at home, you should be the one to talk to someone about it. Get to know when your teachers and school counselors are available whether it be during lunch or after school. If you need to talk to someone privately, your teachers and school counselors will be MORE than happy to do so. 10. Do your homework Doing your homework will help reinforce what you’re learning in class and improve your overall course grade. If you happen to forget your homework or you had an emergency, it’s always better to address your situation with your teacher rather than keeping quiet. Most teachers will give you partial points for turning in late assignments. (Better than nothing!) When telling your teacher about your missed homework, honesty is always the best policy. Be sure to ask for extra credit opportunities to compensate for the points you’ve lost! Had to say all of that, because trust me, you'll soon become very successful for the next 4 years. This is our 10th episode, and we're going to do something special about it as we got a LOT to talk about, so let's get right into it. First, and foremost of all, our Top Dollar amount in our first round is as usual; $2500. BUT! This time, it's now Double-Wedged!  (Audience Cheers and Applause)And in addition to all of the money you can win, we got other kinds of good things on the Wheel. For instance, we have the Take Two wedge in honor of Bill McDee. TAKE 2 $250If you land on that wedge, and you will get to call 2 letters in the puzzle at $250 for each letter. However, in order for you to keep your turn, BOTH of them must be in the puzzle. Next, we have the Double Up! wedge. DOUBLE UP! $500This wedge is not only for my good friend MetalPikachu3500, but this was part of a Kids' version of Wheel, known as Wheel 2000. Land on that wedge, and I'll give you a True-or-False statement. Get it right, and you'll call one letter worth $1,000 each. Otherwise, it's still going to be $500 for each letter.
