Back to normal on High Rollers. After introducing new contestants' podiums on episode 25 and new numbers' board on episode 30, no new thing to expect for this episode. Matt is our 3-time champion with $98,209 in cash and prizes, including a car he won at a side game. Normal for Big Numbers, once again lost. (3-27) Jackpot bumps to $32,000. I need a challenger for Matt.

Sure. Today is your 4th day on the show, and if you win 5 times, you'll win this!
It's a new car! It's a 2015 Buick Encore, with all the standard features including a 2-liter 259-horsepower engine, automatic transmission, the Buick Encore! A terrific prize worth $29,840!
(cheers and applause) Here's the car a champion gets after 5 wins. You already have a small one, here's the bigger one you can win. But you have to defeat two more challengers, and the first one is Michael. (applause)
Welcome to High Rollers, Michael. Please tell us about yourself.

I'm Michael Clifford from Marlton, New Jersey. I'm currently unemployed. I like watching TV (especially game shows), following my Philly sports teams, hanging out with my family & friends, going on the Internet, & listening to classic Casey Kasem American Top 40 shows.

Iowa against New Jersey, here's today's match. Good luck to you. Last time we left the board with a full Column 1, an empty Column 2 and an in-between Column 3. What's new in Column 2? You're going to play 100 cubes for a chance to win $34,100 in cash!
(cheers and applause) Wow! Big money awaits you in this brand-new side game. What's new in Column 3? Get the London look with his-and-her raincoats! For him, The Donal raincoat water-repellent material ensures dry comfort in a versatile raincoat that doesn't skimp on style. From Hugo Boss. For her, glimpses of bright windowpane plaid update an exquisite, Italian-made raincoat with timeless straight-cut styling. From Cinzia Rocca Due. A prize worth $1,190, making the value of Column 3 $11,188!
(applause, some laughs) No, it doesn't rain that often in London. In average, only once a week. That just lasts for seven days. (laughs) Let's load the board... Hot Column for this game is Column 3. If you roll an 11 while the column is still red, you claim that trip and accessories, plus a guaranteed cash bonus, up to $5,000! (cheers) Here's the first question. On what day of the year the International Women's Day is commonly celebrated? (buzzcode 1-100 or pass)

(Matt passes) Michael? March 8.Correct, that's indeed next week. All rolls are good, and you know how to play, so let's proceed. It's an eight.

(applause) Seems the audience likes your move. Second question. True or false: The International Women's Day was created by Hitler.

Actual code: 29 1st: Matt (65) 2nd: Michael (88) Matt this time... False.Indeed it's false. The creator is not a recommendable person either: it was Lenin. All rolls are good, Matt, let's roll! It's a seven.

(groans) There goes the Hot Column, and there comes the first bad rolls. Every question from now on could be the last of the first game. Here's the third one. True or false: In Russia, the end of WW2 is celebrated on May 9th.

(Matt passes) Michael? True. That's correct. That's not jetlag, that's peacelag. (groans) Michael, the bad rolls are 3 and 5. What do you want to do?

All right. Just avoid the 3 and the 5 and you're safe... (applause) It's a seven. Kick it off. As you can see, the next one to roll will have a 50% chance of claiming a prize. Control is crucial. Fourth question. Sweden, New Zealand and Canada: What was the first country to forbid children spanking?

|

Post by CCSCO on Mar 4, 2015 2:53:18 GMT -5
(Matt passes) Michael? Sweden? You seem unsure, but that's correct! Spanking is forbidden there since 1979. New Zealand has forbidden it since 2007, and Canada allows it. Michael, the bad rolls are 3, 5 and 7. No insurance markers in play. Roll or pass?

I'll take a risk & roll.

(applause) Audience likes moderately risky moves... Just avoid 3, 5 and 7. (double SFX, cheers and applause) Boxcars! You earn an insurance marker for that. If you tune in for the first time, you get the insurance marker for rolling a double, and it allows the player to roll again after a bad roll. Only one way to play 12: remove 8 and 4... That clears Column 2! If you win this game, Michael, you'll play our brand-new side game for a chance at up to $34,100 in cash. Two numbers left on the board, control is crucial as we move on to our fifth question. In a poker tournament, what two-word phrase describes the total amount of money awarded to the top players?

(Matt passes) Matt doesn't like my questions, it seems. Michael? Prize pool? You seem unsure, but that's exactly what I'm talking about. Michael, here's the situation. Whoever rolls an 11 wins. 2 or 9, we have a new question. Anything else loses. You have one insurance marker, Matt doesn't. Roll or pass?

I'll pass the dice this time.

Post by CCSCO on Mar 6, 2015 9:21:29 GMT -5
(applause) Matt, 2, 9 and 11 are what you're looking for. Good luck. (buzzer, groans) It's a ten, just between two good rolls... That's a game for Michael! (cheers and applause) Michael, you don't credit you with any cash for now, because you're going to play our game, 100 cubes. Here's how it works. 1 | 1 | 1 | $100 | 2 | 2 | 2
| $800 | 3 | 3 | 3 | $2,700 | 4 | 4 | 4 | $6,400 | 5 | 5 | 5 | $12,500 | 6 | 6 | 6 | $21,600 |
You'll roll the pair of dice up to five times, and we'll light up the numbers you roll. For example, if you roll a 4 and a 2, we'll light up a four and we'll light up a two. You don't have any choices to make. The first number you roll three times wins a hundred times the cubed value of this number, hence the name "100 Cubes". If you roll a 1 three times, it's one cubed (1) times 100, which makes $100. But if you roll a 6 three times, that's six cubed times a hundred, making $21,600! (cheers and applause) Plus, since you roll two dice, if you get your third 6 and your third 5 at the same time, you cumulate the rewards: 21,600 plus 12,500 makes $34,100! (more cheers and applause) Two more rules before we start. If you roll a double, you automatically get the triple. And if you don't get any triple at the end of the game, you'll win 10 times the squared value of the doubles you've got. Do you have any questions? If not, please take your rolls. (5 rollcodes 1-36, I don't use the same list for side games)

Good luck! (groans) No, really not what we want. 1 | 1 | 1 | $100 | 2 | 2 | 2
| $800 | 3 | 3 | 3 | $2,700 | 4 | 4 | 4 | $6,400 | 5 | 5 | 5 | $12,500 | 6 | 6 | 6 | $21,600 |
Roll again, we need higher numbers! (groans) Double two... 1 | 1 | 1 | $100 | 2 | 2 | 2
| $800 | 3 | 3 | 3 | $2,700 | 4 | 4 | 4 | $6,400 | 5 | 5 | 5 | $12,500 | 6 | 6 | 6 | $21,600 |
You end up with $800. At least, that's better than the house minimum! (laughs) Plus, you've carried over one insurance marker, and you're leading one game to nil. It takes two to win the match, and we'll find out if you can win right after this! (fade out)

(fade in) Welcome back to High Rollers! Our champion, Matt, is behind in a complicated situation, because Michael leads one game to nil and one insurance marker to nil. Just before the break, Michael won $800 in cash in a side game. Time to put new prizes on the board. What's new in the empty Column 2? It's a new poker table! From Howard Miller, it accommodates eight people and features eight full extension drawers with removable sandstone coasters. Its rustic cherry finish will make you feel like in a casino. The top features a black micro-fiber poker-playing surface surrounded by an easy-to-clean padded armrest. Plus, its base includes storage for a case with a 500-chip set and two decks of cards. A prize worth $4,319!(applause) And with that trip to London, what do we have? Are you a fan of tennis? Well, it's Wimbledon centre court tickets for 2 for the whole tournament! Get all the excitement and see all the stars of tennis on one of the most legendary grounds in the world! A prize worth $3,806! Plus, we'll give you $5,000 in cash to pay the second trip and extras, which makes the final value of Column 3 $19,994!(cheers and applause) Wimbledon tickets for 2, on Centre court for the whole fortnight. What's the total value of the board? The total value of the board is $37,689!(cheers and applause) Let's load the board! Hot Column for this game is Column 2. With a roll of 9, you can clear all three numbers at once and claim the poker table and a cash bonus. First question. What video game console maker released the Dreamcast?
