That's me! Thank you ladies and gentlemen, and thank you to our announcer Frank Caliendo.
You know how "The Price is Right" and "Let's Make A Deal" have done "mash up" weeks?
Well we've decided to try it with this, High Low Tic Tac Dough.
Rather than answering questions in various categories, our players instead will win boxes on our big tic tac toe board simply by correctly predicting whether the next card in our standard deck of 52 playing cards will be higher or lower than the box value they selected. More about that in a moment.
Right now, let us meet our first two contestants!
(Contestant intro music)
Playing as the "X" player, Nels Snesrud!
And at the "O" podium, Immanuel Tims!
(applause)
Gentlemen, welcome to High Low Tic Tac Dough.
We're going to get right into the game...Let's fill in the board with the various card values:
(chimes)
Starting in the upper left we have Five, Queen, Jack, Queen, Six AND Ten, Four, Jack, Four and Five.
Nels, in a moment you will select one of those nine boxes where you wish to place your first "X".
To do so, you must correctly predict whether the next card in our standard 52 card deck will be higher or lower than the box you choose.
If you are right, you will capture that box and we'll add money into the pot. How much money will depend on the card that turns up.
If you are wrong, and being wrong includes if the next card is the same value as the box you select, no money will be added to the pot.
The center box is extra valuable. Capturing that box would give you a great advantage potentially in winning the game. For that reason, when it is captured, we will add $500 to the pot, but in order to capture it, you must correctly predict higher or lower on TWO values...first the six, and then the ten...so consider that when pondering your strategy.
The first player who successfully lines up three of his symbol in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, will win the game, all the money in the pot, and play our Dragon end game which could be worth up to $25,000 in cash!
(applause)
Nels, the board is yours sir, please select a box. If you select an outer box, please indicate which row (top, middle, or bottom) you want.
