Here's the latest on how my dad's doing.
He was in the hospital for three weeks because the chemo has weakened him so much. He's been home since Friday, so he got to spend Father's Day with us at least. He has been showing improvement since, being able to eat more and getting around with less assistance. Before he left the hospital, they implanted a mesh in him to stop a blood clot.
He went for a scan today, but they found that his tumor didn't shrink. They did stop it from spreading, though. He will undergo radiation treatments within the next two weeks, five a week for five weeks. He has gained some of his weight back, but he still was in no shape to undergo surgery. We'll know sometime in August where we stand after the treatments.
As much as it pains me to do this, I have to cancel Race to a Million to lighten my workload a bit. I'll still be hosting Card Sharks and Wheel: Seasons with the same fervor unless something comes up.
