All right fellas, here we go. Remember that all deadlines are 48 hours and here we go. (cue 1987 theme) Rich: And now, a game of high stakes! Where every decision is a gamble and every move could be your last. High Rollers! And here's the man with all the action, Mark Liotta! (I come out to a tremendous applause from the audience) Me: Thank you, audience. And thank you, Rich. (Theme ends) Welcome everyone to High Rollers. We have a player with us who took us for a lot of cash yesterday even though he did not win the Big Numbers. Let's meet him right now along with his challenger. Rich, who are our high rollers today? Rich: Please welcome back our returning champion James Greek, who has a one day total of $26,500! And challenging James today is an accountant, Kevin Kolsen. Me: Nice to have you on our show, Kevin. How are things going at the tax office?

I'm at lunch right now but we're fairly busy. We've got another three weeks until corporate tax returns are due.

Well we wish you the best of luck on our program today. You guys know, of course, that whoever wins two games first gets the right to play the Big Numbers for $25,000. On that note, let's look at some prizes that you guys will be trying to win in this first round. Rich: In column one, we have not one, not two, but three TVs. We have a 60 inch LED HDTV, a 55 inch 4K LED smart TV and a 70 inch LED 1080p HDTV. Three Tvs, three times the entertainment. This prize is worth $6,800. Me: And what's in column two, Rich? Rich: In column two, we're going old school with a restored Nintendo 64 console. Comes with two controllers and some of the best titles from the Nintendo 64 library including Super Mario 64, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Mario Party. This prizes package is worth $1,000. Me: And in column three? Rich: In column three, a trip to Washington DC. You'll fly round trip coach from Los Angeles to Friday Harbor. From there, you'll head to Anacortes for a six night stay in a deluxe king suite at the Majestic Inn and Spa. We've also included dinner and a kayak rental. This prize is worth $4,791 making the entire board worth a total of $12,591. Me: And let's see what our hot column will be for this first round.
3 6 4 8 5 7 9 1 2
And the hot column in this round is column two. Knock out all three numbers there and you could end up with that restored Nintendo 64 console Rich just talked about. All right, here's our first question of this match. What two words would you combine to make the word smog?

Let's take the seven off the board.

And here comes the next question for both of you. Mustard gas was first used by the German army in what year?

You're close, Kevin, but it's actually 1917. James, you have control of the dice once again. All numbers are good, so give them a good roll

Let's take that eight off the board.
3 6 4 X 5 X 9 1 2
Next question coming up. What video game console released in 2006 allows you to play vintage NES and Super Nintendo games on it?

The wii?

On the Wii, old NES and Super Nintendo games can be purchased through the shop for play on the system. You, sir, are correct; however, believe it or not, there's another correct answer to this question that we would have accepted. The FC twin console can do the exact same thing. So that would have been correct as well. All right James, roll those dice please

And here's the next question. What French chemist was known for discovering the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation and pasteurization?

Post by GameShowNetwork on Feb 24, 2015 20:56:14 GMT -5
The 9 and 1 come off and that will clear out column one.
X 6 X X 5 X X X 2
Those TVs go into your prize bank, James. They will be yours to keep if you win this round. Only three numbers are left on the board, so control is very important. Here's our next question. In what year was the Nintendo 64 discontinued?

2001?

Post by GameShowNetwork on Feb 24, 2015 21:04:49 GMT -5
2001 was the year the Gamecube came out; however, the N64 remained in production until 2003. So 2003 was the answer we were looking for that time. James, the three numbers that remain on the board are 2,5 and 6. I will also tell you that the good numbers are 2,5,6,7,8 and 11. Roll or pass?
