Legendary talk show host Johnny Carson hosted his final "The Tonight Show" on this date, May 22nd way back in 1992.
Johnny's run lasted from October 1st 1962 through May 22nd 1992, almost 30 years.
It makes me pause to think that Johnny's last show was almost just as long now...mind boggling.
Nobody but nobody will ever come close to his brilliance. Not only could nobody ever fill his shoes, in my opinion, nobody could even carry his shoes!
