I'll have limited check in as a contestant, but am temporarily putting Gambit & Three On A Match on hold.
Lots of problems right now that my family and I are trying to cope with.
Slowly my senses of taste and smell are returning after having gotten through my turn with the COVID-19 virus.
My son is probably not going to graduate college. Two weeks ago he shared with us that he's had big time struggles with his classes and some students there as well. He came so close too. I'm disappointed FOR him not so much in him though. Very disappointed with the college in general. I held them in very high regard until this last semester. I won't go into further detail. Suffice it to say I'm very disheartened, disillusioned and disgusted with and by the higher education system.
We've been having a plumbing issue of our own with our master bathroom sink. We were finally able to get a plumber to come out, only to look at it and tell us that due to a lawsuit against the company that manufacturers the parts, they are not allowed to touch it. I suck at do-it-yourself stuff, especially with plumbing. It's a mobile home which only adds to the aggravation. Just weeks before my Mom died some 20 years ago, she told me "No regrets", but I can honestly say I totally and fully regret ever purchasing a mobile home. If only I had it to do over again. I tell my son you're better off in a homeless shelter than ending up in one of these pieces of crap.
Tomorrow my wife goes for a second mammogram. Her first one showed a cluster of cells deep in one breast. We're hoping and praying that it's nothing, (although I'm to the point where I feel like praying doesn't do any good) especially since her one sister died from breast cancer back in 2011.
Fortunately at least for now, her job and my job are going well. But with all this stress and endless frustration, and she had a ton of it herself in trying to get everything coordinated with test results, paper work, etc. for her appointment tomorrow, I have very little to no energy or enthusiasm right now to host my games, so hopefully before too long I will resume hosting.
I'll do my best to check in and reply regularly since I am a contestant and/or celebrity on certain games, and will keep you updated on the goings-on in what's left of the McDee household.
Thank you, and my apologies for the long and perhaps too personal post.
