Friends, I just received notice that I have tested positive for COVID-19.
One of my co-workers called out sick Wednesday and had a rapid test done, and it came back positive.
As I have not been vaccinated I was required to work from home and to get tested.
I did the test on Thursday, and just after midnight on Saturday, the results came in that I am positive.
I've been monitoring my temperature and it is and has been normal. Just some sinus issues, mild sore throat, but that's it.
While I am not anticipating feeling worse, I nevertheless realize that this could be a distinct possibility, so for this reason I'm posting this on the vacation thread.
Seems that in spite of several of my co-workers getting vaccinated, us having plexiglass shields between our desks, doing daily cleanings, wearing facemasks, that all of that was for naught.
Last month our company owner contracted it and is doing better now. One other guy in the shop contracted it and was hospitalized and was out for a few weeks, but has since returned.
I feel relatively good physically, but mentally I'm worried about my wife and my son who came home yesterday from college. They will both have to be tested now too.
My concern is for them far more than for myself.
Prayers are very much welcomed and needed on behalf of my family and me.
