So I ordered the poker sized Card Sharks replica cards from makeplayingcards.com.
They arrived this past Saturday via US Postal Service.
I am extremely delighted and quite impressed. The backs of the cards, the face cards, and the prize cards and Jokers all look exactly like the cards did on the show!
Being the game show "nerd" that I am, I play against myself in match play. Rather than do survey questions, I simply draw from another deck of 13 playing cards for both the red and blue player and the higher card wins control. The 13 card deck has 2 through Ace but appearing only once each time to avoid any ties.
Anyway, during the first game of the best 2 out of 3 format, the red player had a double 2 during the first try at the cards. Those were the 2nd and 3rd cards on the row. I filled in the spaces, the red player had another 2, called higher, and the 4th 2 came up...in other words, back to back double deuces! I thought that was wild to say the very least! Gave me quite a bit of amusement even if I do say so myself.
And I always shuffle the decks quite thoroughly too. It's a real hoot and holler having these cards to enjoy. I'm also still quite tickled with my 2 large Gambit decks I purchased some time ago.
Having grown up in the early 1970s, I was born in December of 1966, and having grown up as an only child, I learned early on how to keep myself entertained. I got into game shows very early on as my parents would watch various game shows at night, and not too long after, I discovered the joy of daytime game shows with Three on a Match being one of THE earliest ones I could recall.
It is really a treat and a delight to come home from work, have a nice dinner, unwind a bit both on this board and now too with my new toy, the Card Sharks replica cards.
Just wanted to especially share that story about the double deuces happening twice to the same player in back to back turns!
